In alphabetical order. Arsenal: Top four in the bag, threw it away in last few games. Burnley:. Safe and dry until an end of season collapse made them end up below Everton. Chelsea: two cup finals. No silver to show for it. Everton: had a two time CL winning manager and a half billion £ squad... Spent the last half of the season in a relegation battle. Liverpool: hard to call two trophies Spursy but I know you'll want it... Went from potential quad to double in last week of season. Dominated Madrid but still let them win. Manchester City:. Had Champion's League final in bag, but went complacent, took best player off and went to sleep while Madrid stuffed them. Complacently played subs in FA semi final and Liverpool stuffed them. Most expensive team but can't reach any finals. Notably absent: Spurs, they had the opposite of a Spursy season by coming from nowhere to get 4th. Also United... Never in contention, so never in contention to go Spursy. Also Leicester because no one paid any attention to what no name club was doing.
Has to be Liverpool, to think you were going to do the quad, yet become losers in the Premiership title race, and the Champions League and yet lift the Milk Cup is about as exciting as Accrington Stanley winning something. Still at least you had your bus parade, celebrating the fact that the stupid scousers couldn't even get in the CL gates for the final. #FakeTickets
Gotta be Liverpool. Nailed on for a quad according to them. Then the Spursy team, Spurs, cost Liverpool the title. Then a former Spursy player (could’ve been two) helped ensure they didn’t win the CL. Salah tweeted about settling a score against Madrid but man couldn’t even score a goal. Trent still can’t defend. Shoutout to the Goons though finishing in a strong second in this award. 4th, 4 points ahead, 3 games to go… after those 3 games? 5th, lolz.
Hard to argue with this. A formidable team with depth and superstars everywhere. It was all lined up, glory forever, parades across the world, VaR help should any misfortunes happen and then BAM, Spurs pass on their cooties to the pool and they go into meltdown. 2 cups that no one gives a toss about doesn't exonerate anything (no one ever plays their first team in them, not even the relegation fodder)
Cannot be the Poool, as IMHO there were no events in the PL campaign, or the CL final, that could be deemed as "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" .
I was watching a rerun last night of the Chelsea v Liverpool game that ended 2-2. There was thoughts looking back on that game, that clearly felt Chelsea put a nail in Liverpool's title ambitions as early as January. The writing was on the wall, when the best team in the world, takes a 0-2 lead at the Bridge, then totally bottles it. Without doubt that game proved Pool were the Spursiest team of the season. I can't see players like Salah recovering from this disaster and his confidence was clearly shattered into a million pieces at the CL final whistle. Lost the league, lost the CL, and personally lost the african nations cup, but won the Ian Rush drink hahaha, add to that Mane is on his way out, the season couldn't have ended better.
Has to be Liverpool. Nailed on for a quad and end up missing out on the two biggest trophies going. Sucky's recent rage tells you how much that stings
We closed 14 points between Jan and end of season. At no point were we "ahead" to bottle it. Champions League was unfortunate... But it's not like we threw a lead away or anything against Madrid like City did.
Name drops Sucky in the hope of some likes and everyone forgetting the goons bottled top 4 spectacularly Bit gay but it's cool
Ah we chucked top 4 away bro no doubt Didn't go all name n shame all the other club's *****'s and wife beaters 'bout it though
