Are there any fans anywhere that even come close to our lot - bravo once again - what a gesture to think of doing this whilst still in the throes of our ecstasy. Hope Netflix can get it included !

Gone mate. They had the factory at the bottom of Southwick on the industrial estate but it went a few years ago. Shocking stuff.

Agreed. Whilst I think the keeper will be gutted, it was hit with a lot of power and you could see it dip left then right. My son said that at the time as well (my eyes are crap and my seat was 11 rows from the moon). Be interesting to see how fast it was going

I keep wondering why that hasn't become known.

In the 70's they used to time every shot Lorimer or Francis Lee made.

Doing the match threads keeps me in touch with what is happening at 'home' too and I plan to continue.
I'm not retiring just yet - still a long way off at the moment. <cheers>

It was 1 week ago we were taking our seats lads and lasses. I have not stopped beaming since. I have had so many people congratulate us, from all sorts of teams, and all said that on tv our fans looked brilliant.

I run a little soccer school on a saturday morning for local kids age 4,5 and 6, just to get them into the game. I always tell them Sunderland are the best and have a laugh with them and their parents about their Liverpool or Chelsea etc strips. It has become a standing joke they boo my Sunderland comments. Today though one little lad gave me a home made card with 'Sunderland won' written on it and 'congratulations coach'. His dad said he watched the match and was cheering them. I was over the moon with it. Mind you he still sprinted in when I shouted last one to me is a Sunderland supporter <laugh><laugh>
