After a long period of failure Douchatelet gave up and let Bowyer/Gallen do the recruiting. Maybe TS will do the same?

Sadly I fear, one that concentrates on how much of a yes man he is.

Proof of the pudding etc. If everyone at the club is pulling in the same direction we've got more chance of success than if not, as witnessed by the last transfer window, when Jacko had 2 loanees foisted on him whom he didn't want.

Over on ITTV it’s being said that TS insists that interviews are still ongoing and no appointment as yet - he apparently chats to certain fans via LinkedIn

Yeah, CL has aposter who talks to TS and says it isn't done yet. Interestingly, the tale of Swindon suggests Garner can do a job. They were skint when he came in, and he had to bring in a shedload fo cheap players, who managed to get Swindon into the playe offs, and three points off the automatics, while accumulating the best stats in the division for shots on target, goals, possession.

No guarantees, but then which manager is going to come to Charlton and guarantee promotion? Might yet be a decent call.

But will Ben Garner get to do things his way, which presumably he was allowed to (within the very low budget) at Swindon?

The last thing he will need is a bunch of clowns playing at running the footballing side and interfering all the time.
Hey ho. Only time will tell.
Let's hope we can get in three or four decent players soon.

If it is true that TS wants to wait until he is in the UK before announcing Garner's appointment that would be silly, maybe even extremely silly, given the urgency and scale of rebuild necessary this summer.

Maybe he wants to make an event of it. Play some rock music perhaps.

I've already written off this summer and the coming season.
Not dropping into League Two would be nice, but I'm not even very concerned about that right now.

All I want is to get the Valley back.

I wish they would get on with it. But if they
Get the right man the time will be well spent.

Swindon's DOF has left the club, was highly regarded there.

TS has already done that, "playoffs is the minimum expectation".

Top 6 in League One is a massive ask from the dreadful state we are in.

Take a look at the table from last season.
Really decent, properly run 3rd tier Clubs fell short of the top 6. We'll have to overtake all of them - and they'll be strengthening too this summer.
    It's not going to happen.

We may have a better season than 2021-22.
It could scarcely be worse... famous last words <doh>
    But top 6?
    Would be a stunning turnaround.

Top 10 may be optimistic as well.
