    From HDM reporting on new Council Leader.

    He also said he was looking forward to meeting Hull City owner Acun Ilicali and his team to discuss the council's future relationship with the club and issues around the MKM Stadium.

    He added: "I think there is an exciting future for both the football club and the stadium with the potential for new development there. If that happens, it's important to ensure it not only benefits the clubs who play there but the wider community as well."

    if they developed it and merged both rugby clubs and played there it would double the benefit to the wider community...
