    Sandgaard and Gallen will have a zoom meeting with a geezer from Yankee land, then bring him back next week.
    Just a hunch that we'll have a Yank or a Dane.

    It's happening according to the SLP bloke on Twatter.
    Early indications are he's going to be a coach rather than a manager.

    An uninspiring appointment BUT Kojak mk11 must be given a chance. IF he gets us a play-off place next season then it would be relative success.
    He did it last season....in a division below:(

    It all depends on who is making the important decisions about player recruitment.

    If it is Martin Sandgaard (in effect Thomas Driesen Mk II) then Garner is nothing more than a coach. And I can't see how he can succeed.
    And if it's also true that Garner will get the job because he will accept key decisions being out of his hands (when better candidates won't) then again, he becomes almost irrelevant.

    Sadly I'm not seeing much substantial difference right now between the way Sandgaard wants to run Charlton Athletic, and the way it was being run from 2014 to our melt-down season of 2015-16.
    Only cosmetic differences - lack of an incompetent and p*ss taking CEO who openly goads fans, for example.

    I really hope my current pessimistic view is wrong. But what can fans do except go with what previous experience has taught them?
    This coming season might be a revelation. But that possibility is supported only by hope at this minute. Hope, and nothing else.
    All the tangible evidence points to more stagnation and decline.

    And let's be under no illusions.
    The amount we have to improve to overtake teams like Oxford and win a place in the top 6 of League One next season is huge. Absolutely massive.
    Does any of us really believe we are on course to achieve that?
