Surely doc it would be one of those staged payment things. 25 or 30m broken up over 5 years. Id imagine they can manage that
A Brazil international will not go to skint Barcelona on the cheap. Nor will Leeds let kalvin go to anyone for less than his true value. I am hoping the Deadwood stage isa coming over the plain to collect our duds. How can Rodrigo be an international as he can't pass a ball. I think we will keep Greenwood as marsch seems to like him. Klich must go way too slow for this league. All the injured and sick notes will still be here next season. We have some serious clearing out to do. Poveda.. Costa.. Etc plus what will we do with heldje /cresswell/Cooper. Why Cooper? well he is holding others back and if he gets offers from championship clubs we should let him go.. Burley? Norwich? You never know.
Eire it wasnt so much an argument that we have enough centre halves, but more that if Marsch believes that we need a new one, there are better options than a 29 year old that got relegated with Burnley, that other clubs are going into a bidding war with regards to salary. I would say if our only option was Tarkowski, then yes we have more than enough centre halves, but that doesn't mean we can't improve on what we have, however, there are so many areas where we do need to improve, that certain positions will have to be prioritised over others
Jeez I feel rough as anything but football talk.... Agreed with Doc regarding Raph even if Barca could get the money for the transfer fee there's no way they could afford wages. They've spent the last 2 windows selling players so they could afford wages. From what I read about Minaimino Lazio are interested but 1 they're put off by the fee and 2 it's not a priority spot for them at the moment. Dunno about Juve but I imagine he wouldn't get the game time he desires.
Think that just about sums up every Leeds Supporters feelings Doc We all loved Bielsa despite our criticisms, and what he did for us, but now it's time to move on and see what marsch can build on the foundations set by Bielsa. For me now the mistakes have been realised, their now could be exciting times ahead, just not on the schedule i originally expected or hoped for. Good morning all
We are still in the 3 division premier league. At the moment we are bottom feeders and need to up our game. Rads needs to get us to the top ten 2nd prem division. Then he can sell up and let the 49ers investment group take over. Last seasons points total would have got us to sixth this season i saw posted. If this is true then we were worse than we realised. We were junk in pre season and junk in the final game. Brentford down to nine men and we could not keep the ball. Harrisons shot took a lucky deflection as it was going nowhere. We got out jail in spite of ourselves not because we were any good. If spurs want Harrison then yes please show us the money. Cooper /shakleton/klich /Bate/costa/poveda/Bamford/Forshaw/Meslier/junior asprin/ can all depart the club.
With M'Bappe turning down Real Madrid there's talk of them going for Sterling, but wouldn't going for Raphinha be a better option for them ?
They've been interested in Sterling for a while and he wants to join them. He did an interview for some magazine where he gave some BS answer about staying with Citeh
To be honest at £13 million he wouldn't be a bad buy. I'd imagine pre COVID before players prices crashed he'd have been a lot higher.
Cost us close to £20m though overall. Loan fee to City with an agreed buy of £8m at the end of the season. Loan fee again and an agreed buy out of £10m end of season. Loan fee again with an £11m buy out which we completed. So £11m plus £2m + £3m + £4m loan fees = £20m. (Loan fees may not be correct)
I would of been very interested in Origi from the bin dippers, but have found out he’s on his way to Milan.
Raphinha has asked for a transfer request He has said he wants his future sorted out before Thursday as he leaves to meet up with the Brazil Squad. Hearing that Leeds have turned down 46m for Raphinha
Afternoon all I am actually excited discussing which players will arrive and who will go. We narrowly avoided relegation so for me I'd question is anyone irreplaceable, even KP and Raphinha. I had resigned myself to them leaving on the cheap due to relegation so now the ball is back in our court, as Leslie Crowther might say, they only go if the price is right. Throw in the bonus that we are no longer talking of who might drop points and help us out, who else is injured, where our next point might come from and now it doesn't really matter if Bielsa would have kept us up or not, we are still in the PL and Marsch has had a proper head start with the squad. It feels good at the moment and long may the new season not start yet
46m turned down. That's a good start. Lets do a swap deal. We'll give them Firpo...... Then run away.................
