Nosey ****er what’s it got to do with you?
Ha, all to do with birth, my dad took me to City, I took my kids to City, my daughter at least will take my grandson to City,( my two sons are KR fans, and obvs out of the will, ) so I leave a legacy that I hope will last the 50 odd years I’ve supported the club.

Born in Beverley, my mum and dad both were born in Hull. First match at the age of 8 was opening day 1-0 win over Man City thanks to a Keith Edwards goal in August 1988. We got battered but nicked it. I remember loads of the inflatable bananas in the away end.

Despite almost ending up a professional footballer, my Dad worked Saturday's and never took me took me to a game, the first game I ever went to with him was at the KC and I took him (just the once, he moaned about how **** everyone was all game). My uncle never missed a game and he took me to my first, I can't remember what that first game was, the first I actually remember him taking me to was Billy Bremner's debut game in 1976. Despite not missing a City home game for about fifty years, he never actually saw a game at the KC, as he refused to go due to their being no standing.

After that I started going with mates from school, both to City and to Vikings, before moving to London in search of sex and drugs and rock and roll. I only did the odd game after that (Easter, Christmas etc), until I moved back and starting taking junior to games when he was four and got us both passes from then on.

Born in West Hull, none of my family was remotely interested in Football. I played for the school football team at Anlaby CP, and City has given schools passes which got you in for half price, and the PE teacher would give us after playing on a Saturday morning so we could go. Good old Mr Kirkland.

First game Chester November 1957, I was 9 and went with 2 mates and we went on our own. City won 3-0. Have been a City fan since, though through travelling I only got to games when home, but went regularly up until 1980, and again after 2012.

We lived within spitting distance of FC and my dad took me there until I was about 12 when I realised most of my mates went to BP, so that was it I was off. This was in the golden era of Wagstaff/Chilton/Houghton/Butler so it wasn't a difficult introduction! Kept going until I left Hull at 18, haven't been back since except for visits so I've probably seen more away games than home ones since then. But always at 4.45 on a saturday afternoon, wherever I was, I always wanted to know City's score. There was one such time, walking in the Pyrenees, I was getting a bit twitchy but I kept on walking higher and I did eventually get a mobile signal, we'd lost of course but that's City for you!
Changing allegiance never occurred to me, and yes I do still follow FC.

Born in York but Mum and Dad and several generations before that were all from Hull and City fans. Dad took me to my first game aged about 5 or 6 in the mid 80s and been hooked ever since. Have now moved even further away and only get to 1-2 games a season but both my kids have taken on the family tradition and support City - at least the 5th generation that I'm aware of

I was brought up down North Road, went to Franny Askew. My parents talked about Raich Carter, Virgo Jensen, Neil Franklin, Don Revie, Ken Harrison etc, first game I remember was 3 rd Cup v Lleyton Orient as they was then in 1963. Remember later that year going to a reserves game just after Kennedy was shot. Their was a minutes silence, then a chap tapped me on the shoulder and said next time son remove your cap ie Franny Askew cap! First feeling good butterflies v Everton again in the Cup.
City is like life you have your ups and downs, although having lived in Australia for 34 years, everyone here knows. I follow City. Will always be that way
    Good times ahead

Aahh the Billy Bremner debut goal .
    First game was WBA 1974
Then my uncle started taking me after the family rift was over 1976
Then for years went on my own quite a lot as most where not interested apart from my brother .
I was just happy going and hoping we won and for a couple if years I didn't know or cared what division we where in

Aahh the Billy Bremner debut goal ...

Sat on the front row of South Stand seats with my Dad watching the chaos below on Bunkers. At the time he was just about gonna let me start going with my mates until they all started shouting at me to 'get down here it's a great laugh'.

Coz, haling from Hull & ER, it's my local team. As it should be. Simple as.
A friends Dad took me to my 1st game, Carlisle at home, December 69. Bobby Robson nailed it.
Had a couple of friends who went to City with their Dads. I was fortunate enough to get invited along now and then. Having lost my Dad early, I was reliant on that happening, until I was old enough to go with mates on the train.

can't remember my very first game but I do remember being sat on the gravel next to the pitch for the full house when we beat Millwall 1 0 Christmas 1965 - I believe I was there at the end of the previous season 64/65 or at the start of the 65/66 season so I suppose I'd have been 9 or 10 for my first match - my mother knitted me a black and amber bobble hat and a black and amber scarf and I had a large wooded rattle to swing around and make as much noise as possible - I also remember going to the 1 0 win against Southend - I think Ian Butler scored - after that I went every home game and walked there by myself and bought a bag of peanuts on the way to eat on the way to the game -- always was Hull first, Yorkshire second, England third

Dad, Grandad , Great Uncle, Uncle started taking me when I was 5 in 1950, ( I was the only boy in the family ) . Stood at the top of the North Stand. They sat me on a coat on the crash bar so I could see.
Interestingly Both my Grandad and Great Uncle were born in Bradford, as a family they moved to Hull in 1904. My Grandad would have been 14, Gt Uncle 16. They both worked for LNER ( rail ) one played left back the other right back for the Railway.
My Uncle eventually moved to Middlesbrough for work, his son's my cousins in Middlesbrough still support Hull City.
My Grandson in Bristol also Supports Hull City. Keep it going in the family.

I was born in Horsforth near Leeds (not my choice). At start of WW2 my Dad was required by his employer to move his whole department from Hull to Wharfdale for safe keeping. This involved renting a large house and moving my Mum and 8 year old sister, together with about 10 staff for the duration of hostilities., Hence during that period I came along.

My family was very much East Hull based, going back to at least 1820.

My Dad used to take me to reserve games at first - always enjoyed the half time crisps - this would be around 1950.
My first experience of the first team, also with my Dad, was around the 1952/53 season. Can’t recall the actual game but I think it was Blackburn (remember the Blue and White shirts), was big crowd as well and we won.
Started going on my own and with mates around 55/56 when I was 11. Have stood or sat in all areas of the Arc and have lots of fond memories (I mislay the bad memories and can’t remember where I put them).
Love the KC for the amenities and comfort, but mainly for the success we have had there. Now been a passholder or equivalent since about 1960. So totting up have been a Tigers fan for close to 70 years and still loving it.

    Birthright.....ah shiet
    Dad brought me to......ah fock
    Brother that followed....ah bugger

Sometimes I wonder i'm some sort of footie masochist, following City, Sweden & my local team rarely bring much success

    But...

    Silverware,
    We don't care,
    We follow city everywhere,
    Silverware,
    We don't care,
    We follow city everywhere...

(I chose City in Football Manager around 2006-2007, started following their actual results, moved to England, started going to as many games as I could, and...hooked)

And honestly, fock me I'd be bored supporting Man U, Liverpool and them lot.

    Loving this thread.

Right, my turn. Actually born within the sound of the bow bells, Mum from London, Dad from overseas, they'd moved around quite a bit - Dad was a seaman, but Mum always came back to London if overseas to have her four boys, all in the same hospital, me being the youngest. Moved to North Ferriby as a little nipper when my Dad got a job with North Sea Ferries (Norwave at that time, Norland later) and grew up in Ferriby from there.

Older brother first took me to Boothferry around 1970 when I was six, bottom corner of North Stand for several years, basically right in line with the Hawley wondergoal, I'm one of the little oiks leaning against the rail. Saturdays were always mornings NFPS/South Hunsley school football, then home and then, when old enough, on the bus to Boothferry if brother not around (at sea and Hull College studying marine engineering, 3rd brother went to Trinity House, oldest brother never moved up from daarrn saarrff as he was already working for BOAC). First season ticket I bought for myself with money from my paper round was 5 quid in the South Stand, 10 pence transfer into the seats if memory serves me right.

Moved away in the early 80's when my parents moved back south when my Dad retired, but regularly got the coach up to visit mates for the first few years.

Slight thread merge but the rest of my family are Spurs fans, but football fans in general and City fans second to Spurs. I'm the other way round due to growing up where I did, so it is entirely possible! Wife and daughters have no choice, luckily they enjoy football as well, two of them played. I followed KR rather than FC for some reason but don't really follow RL anymore, harder when you live away. When people ask where I'm from, I say I was born in London but grew up in Hull/Yorkshire, and I'm proud to say that. Don't have much of an accent mind! Can slip into it a bit but too long in the smoke and overseas I think most of the time.

Been living abroad for the past 30 years plus, but get back fairly often, always for the big games and also occasional others when I'm in country. Grandparents, although Londoners, are buried in Ferriby as they were staying with us at the time, so will always have a piece of me local.

Grandad started taking me in the early 80s. Was a mascot in ‘83 too!

Moved abroad aged 8 and followed from abroad but after moving back aged 12 started going back on odd Saturdays when not at boarding school.

Stopped going when at Uni when grandad passed but regained the faith when moved back to Hull briefly.

Travelled over just before the move to KC after moving away again and then ended up getting a pass again after that Oxford game when tickets started getting a little tough to get. Stayed a pass holder all the way to the Prem and then about 4-5 seasons after despite living 2.5 hours away on a good commute day!

Not been for 3-4 seasons now and get football fix from watching one of two local teams these days (not quite the same)

Will venture back again to the KC this season but think it’s just a couple of games a season for me now barring odd away games around where I live!
