We've been out-maneuvered a good few times, our lack of quality in midfield has been evident many times and everyone knows we don't score goals easily. And Fulham walked past us 2-0 at their place, might not sound like a big defeat but the difference in quality was there for all to see. I agree though that competitiveness doesn't necessarily mean quality.
Oh definitely, our 1 dimensional attack hasn’t helped either. Mark KLP out the game and we lose. Got better with the introduction of Allahyar though. Teams at the top end this season especially have goals spread out through the whole team. Huddersfield for example have 1 player with 14 goals and then 10 others with 3 or more. We have KLP with 12 and then 4 others with 3 or more… We aren’t going to find a Mitrovic for cheap so we need to spread the quality out onto the whole side.
Yes 2-0 sounds like a close game, anyone remember when we beat Warnock’s Leeds 2-0, even he said it was one of the most one sided games he’d ever seen.
How was it the great escape when they were never anchored in the bottom 3, and entered the final day level on points with 17th? Don't overplay what they achieved.
Tosun doesn't seem to have played much for about 3 years, plus he will be on about 40k plus at Everton. Bit injury prone too.
He’s an experienced international who has played at the highest level in Europe, I think we’d be mad not to try and get him on a decent deal. He’s absolutely be in less than he was at Everton, but being mates with Acun I don’t think he would mind. If Oumar Niasse can drop down and play for Burton Albion on a couple of grand a week, I can see Tosun coming to us for a reasonable cost.
I hope you are right. Hopefully Acun has sweet talk him if he is fit enough to play. He would be good for someone like Tyler Smith who could learn from him.
I think Tyler Smith will be loaned out to the division below, I've yet to see anything that suggests he's ready for the Championship. But yeah, generally having a player like that would be great for the younger lads to learn from.
Tyler Smith, was 23 last December. Expect he'll be moved on or else loaned out until his contract is up.
Don't think he's featured since he got done for pace by a 30-odd year old centre half, Millwall was it?
