I think it’s good the club got the opportunity to hear fans thoughts on Sol Campbell. The biggest worry is they are considering such unsuitable candidates.
The way the odds are changing, it's almost like no one actually knows and the bookies are just trying to cream profit from a bunch of mugs who have read the most recent clickbait headline.
Probably leaked by a member of the QPR staff who had his finger on the pulse and knew how fans would react.
Extend Shodipo’s contract, let go of Ball and leave Barbet in limbo. Release a proven manager and apparently have no replacement ready. To even begin to consider Sol Campbell as viable is nothing less than scary. It’s shambolic.
In what sense is a near 50 year old who has spent 10 years at one club ‘up and coming’? What stunning talents has Gareth ‘developed’? His skill set is recruiting older ‘has beens’ that no one else wants. This is getting seriously dodgy.
Hugely popular with fans as an ex player. Big difference being considered for the managerial job at QPR for the only reason he wore the shirt. I don’t agree that just because you were previously involved with a club you should be the best option. Same with SLF - it’s just sentimental ‘heart over head’ nonsense.
I for one would be delighted if the leak has averted the appointment of Campbell on the back of the fan's voice.
Ainsworth would be a mistake and why would he want it. He knows what happened to Ollie. Twice. Old boy passion for the club is only matched by the expectations and lack of loyalty and patience by the owners and lets face it, the fans. How long would they or we give him? A season? I doubt it. Unless he got off to a flyer in which case it would take losing three in a row before the euphoria evaporated and the rumours whispers and downright abuse started.. I seem to recall that he learned a lot while understudying for the likes of Paulo Sousa so don't think he is necessarily a die hard long ball man
Reports are that Manning was interviewed but is leaning toward staying at MK Dons. That should tell us what an attractive proposition we are right now.
