Many thanks to all posters for contributing to the league again. Had a good run with most posters before a few dropped away near the end. Hope to see all of you back next season. As for final week scores, @The Changing Man finished off the last few weeks in style to secure a top league position and to win the final week's competition - closely followed by @PowerSpurs who also finished well. As for the league winner, well that would be me - securing my second asterisk. As I said above, I am happy to run this again next season if the appetite is there. For now, thanks for playing and enjoy the off season dreaming of Champions League Glory
Thanks SD...I am sure I speak for all participants in thanking you for all the efforts you put in to make this happen.
Grats SD. Cheers for doing this and I’m sure there’ll be plenty of appetite for it next season so long as you’re happy to do it
Thanks SD I did better in this league than my own. Lots of work for you on this, it is appreciated. Well done SD
Thanks for doing this SD and congrats on winning. I’ve really enjoyed participating and look forward to knocking you off top spot next season
Thanks again for all the hard work running this. I enjoy these competitions and am delighted to have finished in the top division and finished on a positive note
Congrats SD (although this result should go to VAR if you ask me… ) thanks for taking the time to do this. This season seemed like an absolute nightmare to keep track of. I swear I predicted 5 different results for the same fixture due to all the postponements. If you could take my most accurate one next season, that’d be great. Every little helps. Thanks again. To Rocky
I've just done a count-up of the "predictability" of teams in the PL in relation to my personal predictions, by calculating how many points each team got for me in this league..... I've omitted Spurs (their figures are my score in the other league, of course). It emerges that teams at the top and bottom of the PL become much easier to predict (no surprise!). Hence a top four of Liverpool, Man City, Watford and Norwich. But you'd have thought Burnley would be a stronger scorer, while the inconsistency of Man Utd, West Ham and Chelsea has lowered their league position. Maybe this is of no interest to anyone else, but I thought it worth calculating and sharing. Clearly there are one or two rogue mid-PL-table teams that rarely scored for me. PREDICTABILITY TABLE Pts 01 Liverpool 41 02 Man City 38 03 Norwich 36 04 Watford 32 05 Aston Villa 31 06 Crystal Palace 27 07 Leicester 26 08 Everton 25 09 Newcastle 24 10= Chelsea 22 10= Leeds 22 10= Wolves 22 13 Arsenal 20 14= Brighton 19 14= South'pton 19 16 Burnley 18 17 West Ham 17 18 Man Utd 14 19 Brentford 10 You can wake up now, RCL!
Thanks for doing this - especially keeping up with all the rearranged fixtures. Thanks to City, Liverpool, Watford & Norwich for being predictable. Thanks to Utd for f***ing up this too. I’m bang average at this game I had my chance, then COVID kicked in in March 2020 and I didn’t see it through Let’s be ‘avin’ yer So on to next season and guessing Bournemouth v Southampton and Fulham v Leeds
very true lots of dedication from SD and Spurf running these leagues. Prediction leagues on the PL board last about a month before OP sacks it off lol
