    Probably picked him for this game as they reckon he won’t have to run far, but can stay in one half for most of the game ….. (clue - that will be the half with the goal we’re not attacking)

    Not necessarily 16 and 17 year olds. But there are players like Olaigbe who have impressed at U23 level.

    I think Ralph was referring to the whole club, not just the first team. As such, Southampton Ladies have won their playoff, so this may have been the response Ralph was talking about. Alternatively, we're just not (quite) good enough, and we should expect a defeat, followed by a summer of excuses, interspersed with a few signings.
