Viera may be a bit of a ****er, but frankly any fan who is part of a pitch invasion when their team has just avoided relegation and chooses to go give it large and abuse the other team’s manager for a bit of social media clout instead of, you know, actually celebrating, is a proper danger and deserves to end up in a heap.

Foden is probably the most ridiculous, given he's a borderline peripheral figure at The Sheikh Mansour Team, especially in the Champions League

Its just the PL team to be fair, so CL shouldn’t really matter. That said, Foden has 9 in 27, not a bad return in the PL, and he’s a joy to watch. But it’s madness he’s in there ahead of Sonny. Rice and Gallagher I can understand a bit more.

OK, so I'm getting on a bit <laugh> but it means I saw the golden age & FA cups in 60s, 80's & 90's plus European Cup Winners Cup & numerous other bits & bobs (league cups etc). <diva> I had some lovely friends who supported Arsenal & often came to our matches. There was no hatred back then pre computer & social media days & I'm glad I was in that era. Having said that I enjoy the internet & reading the forum! COYS.....

Foden is playing for Man City though, probably shouldn’t be in there but imo he’s closer to being poty than the likes of Gallagher and Rice. Rice is pure basic imo and hugely overhyped. Gallagher is a Chelsea loanee who’s done well for a nothing midtable side. Neither deserve to be anywhere near the nominations.

    Are you kidding me?

If you lot **** it up against Norwich, it would be arguably one of the biggest ****-ups in PL history. Maybe even football history.

They are an awful team. Awful in every way possible. They are already down and have no motivation. I can’t remember their last home win. Even we beat them 5-0 at their own gaff.

They probably have like a 3% chance of winning if that.

I know none of you want to say it, but it’s pretty much done.

It’s Spurs, any fan who’s followed the club for a significant amount of time wouldn’t be surprised by a defeat against Norwich.

I get why you’re apprehensive, but this isn’t the same Spurs team from 8-9 years ago and you only need a point to secure 4th. Conte is probably the best manager you’ve had in literally decades.

If Norwich still needed a win on the final day to secure their PL status, I would totally understand. But they don’t and have been on holiday for weeks, and there’s no way Antonio Conte will let you be complacent.

    Quite easily.
Let's assume for the sake of this argument that the final games are both wins.
They can look back at the early losses that put you bottom and point to your recovery.
Young team, young coach, promising future, big January clearout, etc.
Fell at the final hurdle after showing plenty of fight.

Not how I see it, admittedly, but it's easy to spin and the reality isn't as dark as some have made out.
If you were on the verge of missing out to Leicester, for example, then it wouldn't be as painful.

There's still a chance Son will be golden boot winner. How often do they leave the golden boot winner out of the nominations?

Once the players step on the pitch, there is little Conte can do.
The three 'B' games of late have shown there is a
spine/mentality seriously wanting, when things are not going Spurs way.

My only issue with this is that Vieira didn't clump him immediately.
The fan filmed it and was acting like a total, utter ****er:

Waited until he turned away and attacked him from behind, though.
You can take the twat out of Arsenal...

Son should be there, because Spurs do not have the best
attack, and he has fronted up in spite of both that and
an apex striker team-mate (Kane) not performing to
    his high standards all season.

The proliferation of pitch invasions and altercations between those who are meant to be on the pitch and those who aren't, is not good news.

Personally, I'd issue a lifetime ban to every fan who goes on the pitch. Football doesn't need you...

I don't even understand the venom in this one.
There's no needle between Vieira and Everton, is there?
They won. They're staying up. What's he so angry about?

Supporters need to stop running on the pitch.
We don't need a return to the dark days of fences, hooliganism and what comes from that.
It's a very worrying turn of events.

The narrative around Arsenal changed more favourably once they started to incorporate an English spine.

Arsenal's age profile is mentioned regularly now but it's average age is still older than the THFC side than finished 3rd in 15/16 and were accused of being bottlers.

I think both Tottenham and Arsenal can feel massively aggrieved about the scheduling of the NLD. It should have gone ahead in January and that's on the Premier League & to some extent Arsenal. Equally, Sky had no right to withhold the new date for as long as they did. It should have been rescheduled as early as possible so that both fans could make travel arrangements and prepare. Instead for TV drama they delayed until the penultimate gameweek in May.

I heard the word 'fences' mentioned this morning on the radio. As someone who went through this before and was in the Leppings Lane End in '81, with my (then) 13 year old brother, I've no appetite for a return to that nightmare

I think it's the scheduling. We know from data that civil unrest generally occurs in summer or hotter conditions. Fans no doubt drinking for hours and doing.... other stuff. I may be naive but I genuinely don't think that's happening on a weekend afternoon KO. The atmosphere at any ground is better and more partisan after 5pm but that comes at a price.
