Yep, time with the squad to get his revolutionary tactics into their heads is what did the trick. Nothing to do with spunking £100m on new players.
A Burnley draw here is absolutely fine if Palace can hold onto that lead. Leaves Everton sweating buckets.
Yeah, Everton's likely safe still, given that it'd take both a Leeds win and Burnley picking up a win or consecutive draws to drop them into the bottom three. But 'likely safe' is much worse than 'almost definitely safe', which is where they were half an hour ago.
That would be amazing. But I wouldn't cry if they're left needing a point vs Newcastle. (I wouldn't want them to have to beat Newcastle.) The main problem is that I don't back Leeds to beat Brentford. If it wasn't for Everton's GD, a draw might have been enough for them on Sunday.
Even though I still think it will be Leeds that go down, a Burnley win here really would f*ck Everton. As much as I like Lampard, seeing that Everton side go down would be incredible.
Probably Everton but either works for me. Was in the pub with my Everton mate last night who was ranting on about how they would be the biggest club in the history of the sport to get relegated if they went down Will definitely be Burnley now
