Davis - 8, superb in the saints goals today
Butterfield - 8, great cross for 1st goal, putting pressure on Richardson
Fonte - 8, much improved on recent performances
Hooiveld - 7, solid at the back, colossal in the air
Fox - 6, our weakest player IMO, shame as he has been superb recently
Lallana - 7, a good return to the side
Hammond - 7, steady in the midfield
Cork - 7, good partnership going with Hammond
Chaplow - 9 MOTM, superb, our best player by a country mile
Lambert - 8, superb up the top, really worked hard and what a volley!
Guly - 7, im not his biggest fan, but had best game of season

Schneiderlin - 7, impressive when bought on
Connolly - 7, good for him to get a great goal
De Ridder - 6, looked lively

Without guly we wouldnt even be in the top half. He is the player that could take us to the prem, he is different and can pick out passes that other players couldnt do, i know he is a dodgey sometimes but thats the fun of him. chaplow was brill today though.

Davis -7, made no mistakes but had too little to do to give him higher.
Butterfield - 7, solid with a great cross.
    Fonte - 8, rock solid
    Hooiveld - 8, see above
Fox - 7 again solid but didn't shine
Lallana - 7, nothing of the glory we expect from him but no faults today.
Hammond - 8, won the ball back well, smart with possession
    Cork - 8, see above
Chaplow - 9, did he stop running at all?! How long can his engine go on for?!
Lambert - 8, Brought the ball in very well, as he always does, good link ups, unlucky not to score with that volley!
Guly - 8, great performance and two good goals.

Team as a whole - 10. Amazing team performance, shut them out completely. What clockwork we have going for us!

No actually, apparently Guly is rubbish and shouldn't be anywhere near our starting 11.

Chaplow was definately MOTM with Ricky close second. Obviously I may not be being fair to Jos as he worried me.

Chaplow was superb for me he has everything you want from a midfielder he has skill can see a pass moves into dangerous spaces when moving forward , can shoot, gets stuck in, has fantastic stamina and plays for the team not as silky as our Adam but a dynamic player none the less he was knocking on the door for a starting place for weeks with great cameos from the bench and is now reaping deserved plaudits. You can see that team spirit and healthy competition for places is driving this team forward look how well Butterfield played having wait so long a start. But to a man they done themselves and us proud with great perfomances in every position

    OMG

you and I have had some banter and I even apologised to you once for being too aggressive, but you're just being a muppet now fella.

I know it's about different opinions, but I can do your ratings before you even type them. To have a credible opinion, start taking of your favourite player coloured lenses and judge things objectively.

Fox - weak link???? We all know you love Harding; I like Harding. Infact i've met him more than any other player which makes me like him even more. But Fox is playing really well and apart from a few misplaced passes in ge first half, he was solid again. His crossing and delivery is excellent and god forbid we get ruffled and in a fight, he's the first one I'd want to see over my shoulder climbing out the trenches.

Yesterday was brilliant. If you are a real fan, you'll learn to live with the selection of those players who aren't your favourite and get behind them instead of constantly belittling those playing where your favourites are.

I'll not bother reading your ratings next game.

i am getting behind him, i think he has been superb recently as i said - MOTM against Reading, deserving to be in the team, great crossing but i just don't think he was as good yesterday, sorry but thats how i saw it which is a shame as I have rated him last 3/4 games or so

i don't mind fox, he's been playing well recently and his place in the team is very deserved after hardings injury, but you cant be good every game

against Reading I gave him a 7, against West Ham I gave him a 7, against Watford I also gave him a 7, I have been rating him lately, no matter whether I prefer Harding or not - Point justified?

Ok, but your actual words were "our weak link"; that he certainly ain't. A weak link is a chink in the chain that the opposition can regularly exploit, or the weakest part of the team. Not anyway shape or form has fox been the weak link since he has started his games.
