Yesterday was as good as it gets for a warm summers day....so here we go......Summer is here.

Keith Downing.....Assistant Manager/Coach will be leaving Argyle after a short deal that lasted five months.

Discussions have taken place but he has decided to move on.....a hard decision he says...but this was always the plan.

Geographically it has been hard for him and his family....it seems that his home is in the northern area known as Bristol ?

His coaching it seems was involvement in off the ball situations.....and he has been given credit for the high amounts of clean sheet we ended up with last season......thank you Keith...best of luck for the future.

It seems that Keith Downing's base is not Bristol but in the midlands.

Good for them but we don't want any of them.

The rumours regarding Cooper seem to be gathering strength. He appears to be being linked to just about every team going and the latest is Aston Villa. I'm guessing one of them will turn out to be true before too long.

With a few...' buts'...thrown in...I could of been going to Wembley two consecutive days this weekend....Argyle in the play-off final today (never going to happen in the end, was it) ...and back again tomorrow to watch Bromley play Wrexham in the FA Trophy Final.....my son and grandson will be putting their Charlton shirts away and wearing black and white supporting Bromley for that....they have been down the Hayes Lane ground now and again when Charlton have been playing away.....I will be staying at home....would only of cost me £10 as a pensioner.

So who cares how the Sunderland v Wycombe W game goes.....well I'm not keen on either club....BUT it is a chance to get Wycombe out of our hair if they get promoted....good riddance to them personally

    Sunderland win 2-0.....so are promoted.

The down for us is we have to play Wycombe again next season.

The only difference this makes to Argyle is they won't have to travel so far next season. At least we won't have to bear the "****e league ****e Refs and ****e football" comments for another season.

I keep hearing this criticism of Wycombe regarding their style etc but why is it they get singled out for the moans. I was listening to the radio today for a while which had on the Rangers v Hearts cup final. Rangers just started a break away and guess what......... a Hearts player went down with a ............... yep a head injury. It has become an epidemic in football and it is far from just one team that uses the rules to bend them a bit. I hate to see it whoever does it and I've said before this season gone, how many bookings did Cooper get? None of which were for fouls.

It’s true all teams do a bit of it but with Wycombe it’s an integral part of their game.

I’ve finally watched the game on the Evil Channel . Sunderland took the game by the throat from the kick off and after about 10 minutes, Stockdale somehow managed to let a speculative shot fly past him off his shoulder. An awful mistake that sealed Wycombe’s fate. They gave it a bit of a go in the 2nd half with Akinfenwa lumbering on for a final time but late on Stockdale was rooted as a shot rolled into his right hand corner. To be fair to him, I think he was unsighted for that one.

I think it's become a thing complaining about Wycombe being liberal with the stoppages. Example today I was listening to the Man City game on the radio. Near the death into stoppage time two City players went down with cramp at the same time. One was their keeper. Yeh right. If you believe he had cramp then more fool anyone who does, In my book it's called cheating not game management but even the great are at it these days. Anyone who thinks their own team don't do it nowadays is worse than naive.
