Again, Ralph out. He seems to have lost all the desire and drive to try and won. It was a scratch Liverpool team, who we should have had a right go at! My choice would be, go all in for Tomas Frank. At least he seems to know what he's doing. He even writes little notes during the game. Lol
Might as well ask for klopp or Pep then if you’re going to name totally unrealistic targets I must admit even a staunch Ralph-in such as myself is starting to lose faith. I would still keep him in though, on condition we give him some money to spend. However if the new owners plan is to keep this same squad with very few incomings then we need to replace with someone more tactically astute.
Frank isn’t totally unrealistic. We will spend more than Brentford, he has a standing relationship with Ankersen and maybe he could bring Eriksen along too, cos we really should have got him in January.
Ralph did himself no favours at all tonight. I’m still of the view that the players are as much to blame as he is, but he has to take the ultimate responsibility for the ****show of the last few months. If the board decide they want to let him go over the summer, I’m OK with that. If not, they have to back him in the transfer window and give him until the World Cup break to turn things around. If we’re still not firing on all cylinders by then, he has to go. Backing him includes giving him an assistant who actually assists rather than making things worse, as Kitzbichler seems to have done. Recruit some specialist coaches and get rid of Watson and Davis who don’t seem to actually do anything at all. If a new manager does come in, I would expect a massive clearout. I’m not changing my vote yet, I will give Ralph until that World Cup break. But it’s close.
Waiting to see who goes and who comes in, during the summer and then see if we have a squad that can play football. But like some others I am not worried if he does go, simply because he has given up on the one thing that made us competitive and gave us identity - the press.
I was 100% team Ralph, been on the fence the last 2-3 weeks. Think I am slipping off it now into the Ralph to go side. Given him over 3 years, maybe one last chance with a bit of money and if no improvement by the World Cup get Pep in.
Got to go for me. That was yet another pathetic, spineless performance against Liverpools reserve team (mainly). Last home game of the season with a chance to give us fans a lift, and Ralph and the players failed miserably. Wrong team, wrong set up, wrong tactics. This was a free hit game against a massively weakened Liverpool team. Didn’t change the formation when losing, and subs just like for like. We had 28% possession 4 shots to Liverpools 24 286 passes to Liverpools 724 But more of a reason why he has to go is that in our last 11 league games we have won 5 points out of a possible 33 points, and we’ve had nearly 3 continuous months of watching absolute dross.
I cannot believe that RH will survive going into the summer after such an appalling run of results. Perhaps the new chairman has been biding his time before ringing the changes, having lined up his replacement and making sure the "i" are dotted and the "t" crossed before making an announcement. Who could it be? Maybe a fellow Serb who will be able to bring in one or two quality signings from that country. PS: I would like Emma Hayes as she seems to be an inspiring coach with a winning mentality.
Yes, she is phenomenal. Not sure about crossing that bridge. Lower leagues first I think (for that introduction).
