Wow... This is interesting. Very much our second tier players. You guys have a very big chance of beating us today.

Our second tier is still very good though, so this should be interesting and quite close.

No Romeu worries me. We need to win that midfield battle. Not much confidence in Diallo tbh

I read that Diallo was making noise about wanting to leave. Maybe Ralph giving him game time to shut him up. He’s not even half the player Romeu is though unfortunately.

    Actually...
    ... No I haven't. <laugh>.

But I've watched plenty of games with teams below you - I'm a little nervous. Hoping Klopp is taking this seriously. No team is easy in the PL if you don't take it serious.

Wasn’t there talk of him leaving in the summer a month or 2 ago? Maybe just mis-remembering

Although tbf if he definitely was off I’d imagine he would’ve played the last home game to say his goodbyes

We absolutely should be getting something today with that team out. Would expect us to concede still but we should be able to get at that defence and midfield, albeit I wish Romeu was playing.

We may still lose of course but if this our supposed final and the players are desperate to perform then I'm expecting a draw or at the least a very competitive defeat.

Frustrated now we’re not 2 up front against that back line!

We should but I can see mini metro scoring and the the ox finish us off 2nd half.
Romeu will be a big miss.

With both the line ups not sure now many Saints players would get in a combined 11. KWP and JWP and that’s about it probably, Liverpool still huge favourites imo

Gomez isn't a natural FB. The midfield is a mixture of inexperienced and ancient and Minamino is absolutely dogshit.

Probably right that they're favourites but we should definitely be competing and carrying a threat. The absolute mauling that would have been deemed acceptable a couple of hours ago certainly isn't now imo.

Pretty much a mix of rising stars and players whose time is waning.

Allison:. Excellent. Keeper wouldn't trade him for anyone.
Tsimikas:. Our second choice but he's hard working and no breeze. Probably our most likely source of chances from the back two rows.
Matip and Konate:. These are good defenders but they're often lost without VVD. One or the other, I don't worry. Together they could leak goals.
Gomez: this is the Achilles heel. Not good at RB. Decent CB but he simply isn't a RB.

Milner: hope you're wearing shin guards! He old, slow, but really hard working and will leave you with a few bruises. No one works harder but he's not the man he used to be. Might be good to help steer the kids though.
Jones: subpar. One for.the future but despite looking good at times last year, he's not ready for first team yet.
Elliott: excellent young lad. Inexperienced and makes mistakes but can be deadly.

Minami: decent. Not spectacular but can be good.
Firmino: you all know him. once brilliant but in a bit of a slump, getting back to match fitness and not his old self.
Jota: can score a lot of goals if someone tees them up for him. Probably our most likely goal scorer tonight if Firm can tee the ball up for him. Don't tell anyone I said this, but he might be a tad overrated.

I'd say the problem for LFC is the inconsistency. These are eleven players who could be brilliant at their best.... But a lot of them just are very hit or miss... Or old... Or injured. No idea what to expect from this Liverpool team.

Got 9/1 earlier. Stuck a tenner on it which means we're going to lose.

Ralph confirmed Perraud is out for 5-6 weeks with a fracture.
