    Agree re Toon.

And the Liverpool stuff doesn't bother me as I don't ever listen to any punditry for club football.

I'm not massively arsed like as the PL is dull as **** any way but if I had to pick then I'd def prefer Liverpool to City and find it odd that it's considered a strange opinion.

Yeah it is a **** league to be in if you aren’t one of the top 3. For me football is all about how much I can take the piss out of people I know so Liverpool not winning is much better.

    Plus Pep >>> Klopp

Prefer Liverpool over City all day.

Liverpool are footballing institution who have earned the right to be considered England's biggest football club. They would work their way back to the top of the footballing pyramid even if you put them down in League Two with -20 points. City are just the real-life version of Football Manager for a billionaire. Take away their owner, dump them in League Two, and they would fester there for a long time. They'd make it back to the Prem eventually, but only ever as a mid-table team, at best.

Dislike Liverpool big time, hate the way sky fawn over Klopp all the time.
Stopped watching sky the other month when a match build up was on (something like Palace v West Ham) and all they did was talk Liverpool and Klopp……not the actual match they was about to show.

Also read this morning that Liverpools booed Prince William and the National Anthem. FFS what is wrong with this scum?

I wanted Chelsea to win yesterday because, whatever you think of their ex owner, it’s a ****ing joke what’s been done to that club because of the actions of a corrupt government with no respect for the rule of law (ours, not Russia’s).
I would rather Liverpool won the league than City because I don’t think I’ve ever met a scouser I didn’t like, but I don’t begrudge City their success, their fans shivered in the shadow of their rivals for years.
Newcastle have sold their soul to the devil and I feel sorry for their genuine supporters, that their club will now be universally hated (and rightly so).
I would like to see a title race between Arsenal and Spurs at some point, because I live in North London, and this place would be buzzing if that happened.
But mostly I would just like to see Saints win a game of ****ing football because I have forgotten how that feels.

    Which one is William?

I quite like the ginger one that married an actress. Probs wouldn’t boo him tbh.

This was in the Mirror report.
"Liverpool Echo football writer Connor O'Neill, meanwhile, explained why fans of the Anfield club choose to distance themselves from the National Anthem.

"The origins of why the red half of Merseyside boo the national anthem can be traced back to the 1980s," he said.

"The Conservative government's 'managed decline' of the city was then followed by the failings of the government following the Hillsborough disaster further entrenched those feelings. A flag regularly spotted at Anfield reads 'scouse not English' and will most likely be on display at most games."

I grudgingly appreciate Liverpool for their success, and the job Klopp has done. I’ve spent a bit of time in Liverpool too, and it’s a proper City. However, I love an underdog, and I prefer City, and remember the strong fan base when they were **** with no money. I like Pep too to be honest.

The Liverpool fawning is too much, but this could extend to the top 4/5 obsession of the footy media. I sometimes think the money’s just killed it for the rest of the league. So hard to compete, and can get dispiriting.

Now I've read that it all makes perfect sense. Booing a member of today's royal family for the political failures of a government from 40yrs ago seems very Liverpoolish. Most of them doing it probably wouldn't even have been born then, but when did that ever matter?

Sadly, if City win today (good chance of that I reckon) all Pool can do is to hope they lose to Villa (unlikely) and they win on goal difference …. <yikes><yikes>
Which means Pool need to score 8 goals more than City ….
    Park the bus, Ralph!!

Problem is, we don’t have a bus to park <laugh> . Could get messy to be honest. They are an unbelievable team. Even without salah and vvd, klopp has them playing sublime football
