Here’s a couple from The Star to get us started https://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/sport/ipswich-town/town-interest-in-hirst-8961810 https://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/sport/ipswich-town/itfc-show-interest-in-posh-midfielder-8961524
Let’s get this kicked off right away with - Bakinson. Town are definitely keen on his signature. McGoldrick. Just released by Sheffield United.
I thought Bakinson contributed more each game alongside Morsy, and his errors, like at times passing to an imaginery player, can be coached out. Back in for me!
Sadly McG played his best footie after he left us, another casualty of our Club regime, sports health etc at the time.
No one mentioned so far is our 20 goals a season striker. I wasn't overly enamoured with McGoldrick in his time here, technically very good but i felt he slowed the game down and was positionally quite poor as a striker. However he's done very well at Sheffield United and could be the type of play who fits into the no.10 role for a McKenna side, as we have lacked someone to put their foot on the ball in that postion and dictate play
I wasn’t thinking as our main man but I think he’d be good to have as one of our options and on the training ground and in the dressing room. A bit more responsibility than a pay to play offer he’d get in the Championship.
Not a rumour, but good news nonetheless, our Player of the Season signs a contract extension. https://www.ipswichstar.co.uk/sport/ipswich-town/new-itfc-contract-for-burns-8966300
Kayden Jackson puts pen to paper. He looked sharp in glimpses last season so I’m happy with this. Judging by the media calls for him and Burns they have a lot of the black fade logo hoody stock left over!
As we all hoped, things shaping up promisingly. Will be attractive proposition for potential incoming players who will be considering their options
