True. Glasgow Rangers paid £250k for him in 2017 but he only played 6 games for them and spent his last 2 years there out on loan. In the Wiki career summary, he has had an up and down career (well he is a keeper so dives a lot) being a match winner and a league keeper of the week one week and then throwing them in for fun the next. Consistency issues maybe? Just what we need. Competition for Phillips I think, not a replacement.
So long as he has the reflexes of a cat then I'll be happy Sadly the Wiki page also gives a few examples of not commanding his area, errors and so forth as well as a few injuries. Plus doesn't seem to have played a particularly large number of games.

Alnwick played last night for St Mirren and by all accounts had a good game and a clean sheet. Quote from BBC Sport. ‘St Mirren keeper Jak Alnwick produced a fine display to deny the visitors on numerous occasions and thoroughly earned his clean sheet’
The reporter clearly has trouble counting as Livingstone had 10 shots of which 4 were on target. That doesn't seem like 'numerous' to me. There is a resemblance to Gunner though; please log in to view this image
Denying the opposition might not always be about shot stopping. Taking out crosses for example wouldn't show up as shots or shots in target.
Good early start just as SM said. Shame to see Bowen go but can't really hold him back if he's not likely to figure much
Good to get the first signing in early, particularly in an area where departures will leave us short on numbers. Has served his apprentiship in non-league and lower divisions. I hope he can make the step up for us. So, with Sam Bowen off to Newport, who do we definitely have in midfield so far? Wintle, King, Adams, possibly the versatile Ng, Colwill. Am I missing anyone? Certainly another 3 needed at least. Maybe 2 if Ralls stays.
Think I got 1st June wrong. Dont all contracts run to the end of June? Thought it was an FA rule so players didn't go unpaid as soon as the season ended. Might be wrong. Often am.
