Music's version of The Stig...but a one man delta blues band.

If you're into The Fall and LCD Soundsystem give this a listen

Canadian electronic band Syrinx... ex football teammate played drums and backed them on percussion.
    RIP Malcolm Tomlinson.

I heard this years ago on the old rock show that used to come on at 3am Wednesday/Thursday morning!
Haven’t heard anything else from them, other than the B side of the 12” single a long time ago, but this song, I love it!

There's a treasure trove of early 80s new wave material from bands who didn't quite make a splash beyond their regional followings. Here's one from my college years, a Missouri-based band who could pack the pubs in the Midwest but had no reach beyond that. There were dozens upon dozens of bands like this around the US and Canada, and probably the UK as well. I suppose some of them might have hit it big had the internet been around.

The Walkman. One of the best acts of the early noughties but never really got any acclaim. A fab set that I saw repeated at Leeds cockpit in about 2004. My favourite is the first song. The north pole
