I’ll say it right out: this is probably the naffest, most pathetic song I’ve ever presented on here. But (a) take a look at the original and you’ll see why; (b) look at who we’re playing, after all; (c) it was the theme song from probably the silliest, weakest “comedy” programme (even less watchable than Mrs Brown and co) ever to be on prime time tv. The Goodies. I far prefer listening to Bill Oddy. whispering, spying on wee animals! And YES! I KNOW! I predicted a more sober score on the other Prediction League. But I don’t think there’s actually a rule against that. And I thought that a silly score went with a silly song. Who knows!!?? And I’m all fired up again by that performance against Liverpule.
