Thing is Bobby hasn’t been prime Bobby for a while now. Not saying he’s been poor but just not top notch and with Jota and mane you don’t get a more goal scoring option but obviously miss that link up. That’s where sh someone like Kane who can do that link up but also gets 15+ prem goals every year would be a great option. Only thing is maybe not his work rate.

Now finding someone that works hard, can link up as a 10 but also get 10 prem goals a season might be tricky.

This is where wonder if klopp is going in new direction, evolving the team. Having 3 out and out goal scorers up top. has also coincided with the RCM being pushed higher up and TAA being more central? Maybe just a coincidence but those changes have come about more when Bobby hasn’t been playing where he would normally drop deeper?

Tchouameni reminds me of Fabinho in a slightly more advanced role. Klopp loves a two footed player.

    They only play us twice.

My worry is all the other clubs defenders getting skinned and City beating everyone else.

Spurly summed it up well in another thread.

This just means city win games 8 nil instead of 4/5 nil

They are buying him to be the difference in those pesky knockout European games they can't seem to break.

I hope he flops terribly and pep is left looking like a **** again next year

I agree. Bobby is nowhere near the same player he once was and I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to leave because not only is he not a regular starter but he's not even the 2nd choice for the central position. Plus he is picking up more and more injuries.

Kane would be class - he has added so much to his game over the past couple of years. But he would be too expensive (for his age) plus he also is picking up more and more injuries.

He looks like he could be the long term Fab replacement - he looks immense defensively - will be good to see how Klopp will use him for now - as back up 6, left CM or right CM.

I don't want Kane anywhere near our club. He doesn't have the right mentality to start with. I still remember him wanting the season null and voided with his 'enough is enough' comment. I don't want players who give up. The thought of him in a red shirt <grr>

I'd worry more about the fact his record in big games is dreadful not that it matters as we won't even be trying to buy him .

He used to be a No.9 and nothing else. I actually said I thought he'd make a good no.10 because he's strong on the ball, can hold out up, good control and pass on him so can bring others into play. Shame Spurs figured it out really...

Liverpool ‘on verge’ of right-back signing worth over £6m – 9 assists this season
According to reports in Scotland, Liverpool are close to a deal for Aberdeen right-back Calvin Ramsay, with the 18-year-old “on the verge” of a move to Anfield.
Ramsay has emerged as a prime target for the Reds in the summer transfer window, with the focus clearly on adding young talent to Jurgen Klopp‘s ranks.

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is reportedly 'seduced' by the prospect of joining Barcelona and is in the La Liga giants' sights as they search for reinforcements this summer. The 30-year-old could be an alternative to Mohamed Salah and others as he approaches the final year of his contract at Anfield.

Lots of rumours Mbappe been spending time in Madrid. Bet that means Salah goes to PSG.

Salah in PSG. Mane to Munich.

And Klopp to surprise us with someone incoming that no one is expecting.

Maybe even Firm off to also help fund a busier transfer season that we've become used to.

FSG won't be sentimental, I think they're practical and with our front three reaching the end of their contracts and this might be last chance to profit on transfers from them, now is the right time to sell. Diaz and Jota can provide the continuity going into next season.

All three still have good footballing years ahead of them, but it might be the right time strategically to cash in and move to the next generation.
