So without JWP's FK right on HT at the Amex, we'd be going in at HT 2-0 down away to all three of Burnley, Brighton and Brentford in the past month. That's horrific.
Lol “Blindly Moaning” - that should have been his user name when he lost that bet but never followed through last year.
Its the same against all of the "lesser" teams. They know if they sit back defending we have no idea how to get past them and then they can charge at our defence when the team is forward. Cant really see much point in us having 2 strikers on, we move the ball forward so slowly they are surrounded the whole time.
I think Broja has responded to Ralph’s comments well enough - he’s been working hard. Despite the finish, can also see why Adam Armstrong hasn’t been picked recently. I’d bring Che on second half - at least he can shoot directly at the keeper from two yards out.
Struggling to understand how Brentford have kept clean sheets in their previous 3 games, because I am seeing plenty of space for exploiting, with better passes and finishing. KWP, with the free header, and Broja with the underhit left foot shot just before halftime, could have got us back into this. Brentford, on the other hand, going forward, have pace and power and utilise , without being derogatory, route one football very well. Toney is a good player and is taking the piss out of us with his movement off the ball and his ability. Considering the comments Ralph made about height defending set pieces, I would like his take on Diallo being the nearest defender to Toney for the first goal. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/2...nnot-remember-supposed-armstrong-frustration/
Even if we manage to get something from the game from now it would only mask our real problems in defence, you can't keep defending so poorly as we have apart from the Arsenal game in the last 2 months.
You watch what Salisu does at the corner for their first, he just stands on the penalty spot marking nobody and then is too slow to close down the pass to the scorer, very poor.
Well to be fair it was a poor time for you to tell them all you thought the ref was having a good game so far . That’s on you, Tom
I'm still struggling to get over Bednarek deciding to mark Romeu for the corner which Burnley scored from. I can't deal with focusing on any more dodgy corner defending yet.
