The morning after the night before and I'm still buzzing from the game. Still can't believe how we controlled the game (small spell aside) and looked like we had another gear to go up at least if needed. Wednesday have a huge dilemma now as we they have to attack now and we have the players to pick them off as they leave space behind and our back 3 / 4 looked solid and disciplined. Going to be a long 90 minutes Monday but I honestly believe we can keep a clean sheet and will hit them on the break for a goal
Excellent post marra & completely right, my only frustration with 09 is his passing at times, probably more frustrating it always seems to be the easy passes hes poor with. Think the lad offers a lot....no matter where you shove him, dont think hes captain material but he certainly lifts others & gets others going
Some people just Have a mean streak. They are the type who bully in secret on Facebook etc. if a player is sitting back then he deserves criticism but the onion gives everything for the team. Back in the 60/70s a bloke sat behind me had a down on Porterfield and mocked everything he did. Why?
Missed that mate. I noticed him turn away and wince after a save and then never kicked again. To injur himself early doors fair play for finishing the game.
Great atmosphere last night I can’t remember a time when it went quiet, I certainly didn’t. It’s gonna be tough on Monday but I think we’ve got a manager that can get us through it and off to Wembley. Stifle Bannan again, Onien done a great job of this, it’s about time we done it in this league it’s what’s needed. HTL KTF
I think I would back us to score on Monday which means SW have to score twice at least. With our tightened defence we should be able to limit them to one goal. On the other hand they might win 4-0. Either way I’ll be hiding behind a cushion for two hours. I wish it was all over.
Great result for the lads last night and was gutted that I had to miss it due to previous commitments, although I watched as much as I could on my phone! On Monday I reckon the first 15 minutes will be crucial as Wednesday will be fired up by then home crowd and will try to get a quick goal. If we can get through that without conceding and play the way we did last night we should be ok. The way Alex Neil has the defence now, unless there's a total mind freeze, I can't see us conceding 2 goals and if we get a goal it could be game over

I thought when Matete was being readied it'd be for O'Nien and it seemed a decent sub, Wednesday were on top for a spell and we needed to make a change. The changes he did make seemed to do the trick though.
it was very early on mate. They played a short back pass so he had to get rid without a run up, he jolted then never really looked comfortable. I said at the time he's just I injured himself. Credit for playing really
good post mate, i also bet there are a lot of those watching on tv/via streams that did not pick up on the fact that gooch was 'last man back' on our corners...have seen it many times over the years when a player is not constantly on the ball many miss their off the ball work. i wont say he was perfect as he could easily have walked just for his first 'tackle' and i think the only thing that saved him was that bannan jumped over him, i was pleased the lads seemed to feed off the crowd for a change rather than freezing, thought wright and batth really took it all in and were solid.
