Yeah. But it'll be tough to see them do anything but it'd be nice of they had some reason to do something
And suddenly there's no complication at all to European qualification next year. Top 4 are in cl. 5th in the Europa 6th will be europa via fa cup alot passed down 7th will be conference slot passed down from league cup. West ham v wolves for 7th means these two now have a smallsomething to fight for or avoid.
Brilliant for rangers. Should be a good final between two lesser fancied teams. Dortmund Barca should have walked it but been great for both of them. Winner goes into the CL group stages as well which is huge! Rangers massive underdogs according to bookies but think they’ll do it. In better form than Frankfurt
Madrid Rangers double inside 90 minutes is 10.47/1. Those are some good odds tbh. Not sure why madrid are so long odds. 27/10 - I can understand why we are favourites but not sure we are that much better
Date and time confirmed for Liverpool’s potential trophy parade If Liverpool win either the Premier League or Champions League this season, or in fact both, there are plans to hold a trophy parade in the city later this month. The Reds are still in with a chance of a historic quadruple this term, having reached the finals of the Champions League and FA Cup. please log in to view this image
In the event Liverpool win one or both of the Premier League or Champions League, there will be a victory parade held in the city on Sunday, May 29. The route would begin at Allerton Maze and travel north through Queens Drive, Mill Bank, West Derby Road, Islington, Leeds Street and the Strand, to end at Blundell Street. As the date for a potential parade falls on the anniversary of the Heysel Stadium disaster, tributes will be paid to the 39 supporters who lost their lives in Brussels in 1985. Over 750,000 supporters lined the streets following the Champions League triumph in 2019, and it is likely that even bigger scenes would take place were Liverpool to seal silverware this time around. The Reds were denied a trophy parade following their first-ever Premier League title win in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and any event at the end of the current campaign would make up for lost time. Liverpool will cover the cost of a parade, with plans in place since progress to the quarter-finals.
Nothing we do can possibly jinx Liverpool now. Any potential jinxing has already been done by the club by making this public. I can see these plans being passed around and laughed at by rivals whenever we fail at one or more cups this season.
Feck it, I’ve booked a hotel for 28/29 May. Worst case is I have a weekend away. Best case is that I’ll be too blind to drive home on Monday.
Bring a mini keg of Carling and you might be able to bribe him. You might want to bring something for yourself to drink too though.
Given that amongst my best friends, I can call on 2 landlords who own several pubs between them and another who owns his own brewery…..I reckon I could manage that (except the ‘mini’ bit)
Providing Mane and VVD stay injury free it's hard to envisage LFC not being in future CL Finals - no club outside of Madrid has beaten them in the competition for the last 5 years. City are a phenomenal team but they lack a soul and character to them that RM and to a lesser extent LFC have. LFC are the toughest possible opponent RM could face, they won't mentally wilt like City and Chelsea. Equally, RM are the toughest opponent LFC could face - they are by a country mile better than any team LFC have faced so far. It should be a cracking final.
the winners shouldn’t go anywhere. The way the European competitions are set up are a joke. You win the Europa league, so what, if you’re not good enough to get into Europe through your league tough. Same for putting all these losers from the Champions league group stages going in the Europa league. Make the champions league the top 2 from all the European leagues so that it can be turned into a straight knockout completion from the start, max of 64 teams. ( no idea how many European leagues there actually are without counting )Home and away legs and that’s it straight to the final
