This place is like an old fashioned pub where we all get to partially know each other, annoy each other and make each other laugh. Tobes played a big part of making this place somewhere worth coming to (like so many others have) so I have a lot of time for him tbh. I hope it's a little consolation to Tobes that so many have said warm things about him. Hope all who know him personally are OK too. Really hope to read you taking the piss out of Burnley for stealing Everton's relegation place! Also, Brb...thanks for letting us know...must have been difficult to know when to do so.

Don't know where to start, pal. You're a proper Scouser with the sense of humour that goes along with it. You'd moved away from the city like me, but I know your heart has always been there. We obviously didn't see eye-to-eye on footie, but we shared so many other similar views on life generally. ....I'm actually quite shocked by this news. I'm not sure why as people are generally older but maybe its the sudden-ness to it. I sit here writing this with a tear in my eye. Take care @Tobes and good luck with your fight. Hope to see you again one day if not here then the next place.

Oh man this is sad news. I didn’t realise he was in a bad way. There’s not many on here who haven’t clashed with him over the years, he stands his ground and could argue for days about **** all, but with the dryest sense of humour in most of his words, so his posts are always worth reading. Thanks for sharing brb, I can only echo what the rest of the lads have said.
Tobes is always welcome on our board. Very knowledgeable and good for a discussion, just his footballing choices were lacking. Did wonder why he hasn't been around, sorry to hear.
