The Chairboys are at a sold out Adams Park for the first leg of the 2022 Playoff Semi Final looking to maintain their league form over the last two months in which we were unbeaten in 12 remarkable games picking up 28 points, we also have a outstanding record in playoff games having only lost two out of 13 games and are unbeaten in their last six under Gareth Ainsworth.
Gaz will be hoping all the players who played last weekend will be available for this one and also Chris Forinio and Anis Mehmeti are back in the squad but we do have Wing, Wheeler, Kaikai and Grimmer waiting to get a chance.
This is going to be one hell of a game under the lights at a full AP and I will be there along with Slasher and Soldier soaking up the atmosphere having some pre match refreshment and looking forward to seeing the lads increase their winning run at AP with a good result putting us in the driving seat for the second leg<cheers>

Looking forward to this evening but with some trepidation.
The previous games against Franchise seem to have been poor and I think in fairness that is down to them making us look poor.
I have faith though in Gareth to come up with a game plan to nullify them and give us a shot at it still on Sunday.
My main concern is that with Blackburn reported to be seriously considering Ainsworth. If we lose this week, do we also lose our manager?

Taking the Grandson to his first floodlight game & play-off game, it's going to be a long day leave home about 2.30, got a parking ticket for the top car park tonight to make sure I can park, probably be back home about 1am if the Motorways are open. My Grandson has never seen Wycombe lose the two games he missed this season that I went too Franchise away, & Cheltenham home. The things we do for football.
As an aside Man.City fans must be pig sick this morning, & Real Madrid should have really been knocked out a couple of rounds ago just goes to show never give up.

"Ainsworth started his career as a trainee with Second Division club Blackburn Rovers, but despite forming a useful partnership with Peter Thorne he was not offered professional terms at the end of his two-year training period. He had been hopeful of earning a professional contract but was informed of his release by manager Don Mackay on his 18th birthday. He later described his release from his hometown club as "devastating" and admitted walking into the car park at the ground and crying."

Nice 18th birthday present. ****'em then, I would say

If he went elsewhere would Dobbo go with him, considering he lives down here in my neck of the woods, In the New Forest Area. Then again when you think Bloomfield has spent the last 18 years travelling from Ipswich to Wycombe.

That's the first half over then without too much to worry about. I'll reserve anything further till the second one is done. They got our man sent off when we played them, and I mean "got him sent off" rather than the Ref deciding on his own. Oh dear they lost one of theirs tonight. Feckin shame. Only 5 minutes extra time though so your team need to train harder.......

Brilliant performance tonight. Good luck for the second leg and Wembley. MK Dons should not even exist.

Mk looked shell shocked. After the Scowen challenge quickly followed by the gape foul (looked alright to me) we bossed it. As someone else said, leave one on Twine early doors.
