Yes Jordan Pickford was both incredible and extra sharp, but we were really poor again by any standards.
Seems to me while Everton were full of running and energy, we looked sluggish ,even lazy , everyone strolling around apart from Kovacic and occasionally RLC, who were the only 2 who looked interested is actually running.
Can't get my head around how we are so bloody inconsistent with so much at stake.
We look a mess on and off the pitch, can't wait to get this season over and done, hopefully in top 4.
Time to clear out the want aways and dead wood, bring in the right players and restore some sort of normalcy.
In some ways we have over performed given injuries and illnesses, so top 4 would be a pretty good place to finish a messy and difficult season.

Think you are being a bit reactionary here CP, you were by far the better team and as you said Pickford played out of his skin.
**** happens sometimes and a single goal by you would (probably) have brought on an avalanche.
We all have those games more than once per season.

True, but we have them against lower teams far too often. I am in no doubt that all the goings on with so many players leaving , and the sale dragging on and on, morale must be affected. Still it's disappointing to see the lack of energy and drive among so many. Hope we can pick it up and keep that important 3rd place till seasons end.

How many points do we gift to teams? The two draws against United, Everton twice, Burnley at home, Arsenal at home. Anymore?

We give the absolute worst goals away, teams don’t even have to work hard to score against at all because they know we’ll give em the ball for a one on one. Not even a new thing either, been happening for 2-3 seasons.

It happens. Everton are fighting for survival, other teams have spots to play for. We’re pretty comfortable in 3rd and only have a cup final to worry about. Motivation isn’t exactly high for the league. our main problem continues to be our lack of a killer striker.

We just need this season over with fast. From top to bottom we haven't been good enough.

Add a 2-3 win at Real Madrid and it would seem a good season.

Another lowly team another lousy result. What the **** is going on ????
Same old story, all the play not enough goals. Hoofing long balls up front to a lump of lard is not the way we should be playing. Despite his very well taken goal and his poor attempt at a dive gaining a penalty, we won't win much with Lukaku if that's how we have to play to get him scoring.. Last 30 mins also showed how slow we are, as Wolves made break after break with pace and a decent level of skill. Ball from our back 3 is coming slowly, and Reece James and Alonso, himself no speedster, are often reduced to back passes and defending. Almost gone are the rampaging runs down the sidelines of early season. In fact it looks as if we don't actually have a pattern of play we can stick to., Long ball over midfield, or RLC and Kovacic running straight at defenders usually ends up with zip, a shot off target from the front 3 or Werner having to shoot from difficult angles.
Think Audi needs to restore Chalobah in Daves position, get Lukaku out of there, (and he can take his mate Pulisic with him for mine,) and restore some semblance of the playing style and formation which worked against some of the best teams in the PL and Europe, and lock in that top 4 place. Next season will see a very different line up and a complete restart, meaning slim chance of catching Pool or City.
Hope we can shake off the lethargy and get over the line in the top 4. That would be a great end to a very difficult and unsettled season.

Wolves deserved at least a point. Tuchel has to shoulder the blame for this poor form. The squad has its faults but there's no way we should be in a battle with Arsenal for 3rd.

Yes agree CP that Chalobah should be getting more games despite his loss of form

It's a mystery why he hasn't had a run, he gives us more go forward than Dave now, and Reece James looks a different player front of him, with faster ball from the defence.

Another game another draw. Well do to out shellshocked Club for a fighting 3rd place.
We will however, not win anything with Lukaku and Pulisic in our starting line up. The big one is a lump of lard, the little one is an overated, underperforming, outstanding choker.

    Yup.
A 90 million lump of lard makes it hard to swallow, big pun intended, Pulisic seemed like the real deal at one point but has rapidly turned into an massive failure. (there are stronger female footballers than him). I'm gonna throw in Werner, Havertz as well both of them not worth the money we paid. Saul, Barkley not a clue why they were even signed. Ziyech has potential and I think he needs more game time. Thankfully we have James, Mount, and not a lot else.

We have a history of overpaying, so Werner and Havertz are in that category.. I do think that both are good players and in a better balanced line up ,might be far better team players. Just a theory. Ziyech is a mystery, he's so classy and talented but a bit injury prone and another who seems to be searching for his best position. Getting Saul and Barkley out of the way, losing Pulisic as well would see more game time open up for the better players. Mount and James are a big part of the "plan" but Chalobah looks ready, Conner Gallagher and Broja look ripe to be introduced gradually into the squad, and if we get Kounde then we have a decent spine. Jorginho I don't mind losing or staying, I think he's good ,not great.Kova and Kante are tops on their day, Kante has not been fully fit for weeks and needs a decent break. CHO?? Who knows?? But we are absolutely hopeless in the striker area.Quick solution would be Harry Kane or Lewendanski, both score for fun and have loads of experience and grunt in their games. Any young one is a risk, even the expensive ones.
What a great off season it's going to be watching the goings and comings and the rebuilding we have needed all season !!

Gallagher plays with his heart not his head and I love that. With a Kante/Kovatic beside him, even Jorginho he will shine. Mount will also benefit from the energy he brings, I cant wait to see those two together on the park, throw in Gilmour to replace one of the aforementioned and watching us play may become a pleasure again. Reece James I will always love to watch, I think you could throw a grenade at him, he would disarm it and send it back to you gift wrapped and smelling of flowers.
