What is the news on Barry Bannan? The news that I can give to everybody is that he’s been with the medical team but we always like to give it 24 or 48 hours to let it settle down. Sometimes you can make decisions too soon. We always give it 24 or 48 hours and then you get more of a clear picture. That’s what I want to do over the next couple of days to see how he is. Are you worried about Bannan's injury? What’s the point in worrying now? We don’t know what’s going to happen and we might be jumping to conclusions. In a couple of days things can settle down and we’ll be able to give you a better idea.
He's guessing based on a Tweet from Bannan straight after the game saying 'see you all on Friday'... ... Bannan was guessing as well having not been assessed at the time. Bannan and, 'danger man' Gregory both played in the 5-0 hammering so let's not get all jittery. I hope they risk him on Friday and he can't play on Monday. Whatever the case he's no better than Pritchard imo.
Hopefully Winchester will be fit for Friday. I have my doubts over Broadhead to feature at all in any of our games against them, which is a very worrying thought
Neil won't and that's what matters. Not one of us know what side he'll put out or what system. Happily that includes Moore who's very much a Plan A followed by Plan A manager. I expect Neil to outwit him over the two legs tbh.
well he needs to change tack from the Rotherham game then, cos he got it completely wrong , and worried far too much about them instead of letting them worry about us, and if it hadn't been for a completely fluke own goal he'd have been to blame for a terrible tactical balls-up.
Not too sure about that mate. Neil does a lot of homework on opposition and worries enough about their strengths to try to negate them. No bad thing of course, but I tend to think he over worried against Rotherham and needed a massive slice of luck. That said, I would bet my last penny he wouldnt pick that same team again, he is a quick enough learner.
On the owlstalk site, a lot of their fans are reckoning that it's just cramp. However, there was one lad who was at the match who said Bannon sat on the bench with an ice pack strapped to his thigh. Didn't make a difference when he came up here anyway. They are a good side, but so are we.
It's a pity that the final isn't us against Wednesday. That would have filled Wembley easily with two good fanbases turning up en masse. No disrespect to MK Dons or Wycombe, but a final with those two in it doesn't quite get the blood up...
