Thanks for that I'm happy to have a discussion with anyone but won't just agree with them for the sake of it if it's not an opinion I share. And when it comes to KLP for example I've said time and time again the lads a good player with huge potential, but I see issues in his attitude, that's my opinion and also an opinion that's grown stronger in other camps as the season has gone on. Am I or others not allowed to say that because "he's one of our own" Btw there's an ignore button if you don't like what I post, im not quite sure where it is but I think it's next to the dummy you just spat out
Keep going you gobshite - i aren't putting you or any ****er on ignore, i love seeing what a snidey **** you are; don't ever change btw.
This made me laugh , you get all that from watching games do you ? Also if we get no bids from PL teams does that mean he stays ? Is that a bad thing in your opinion ?
I've asked nicely, and have just done some hoovering of recent posts. If you can't moderate your own posts, I'll have to help you, and I'm a lazy sod, so would rather not.
For what it's worth, I'd be happy to see him stay. I think some more experienced and stronger characters in around the dressing room would really help him on the negative sides of his game and ultimately both he and us would benefit. But I would also still snap anyone's hands off if a bid £12m+ and add ons came in for him. Either way it's a win for us as a club
Because apparently discussing anything other than basic "he's good/he's ****" viewpoints constitutes a scouting essay to some on here, which they find a bit grating and unnecessary. Or show offy. I dunno, some bullshit problem they've got that you don't. Who gives a ****, you're bang on the money with what you said, can't even argue against it being unbalanced because as you rightly point out, his attitude might (MIGHT) get in the way of his development if he doesn't sort it out. That's not attacking the lad or calling him ****, it's pointing out something that's actually been pointed out plenty of times on here about our other players previously (Grosicki ringing any bells?). Him being from Hull or coming through our academy changes nothing. He's a good to very good Championship player, at the moment. He COULD go on to be a top level player if he sorts some bits of game out. If somebody offers north of £15m for him, we'd be daft not to take it in my opinion.
Exactly, I think one of the reasons Bowen learned so much so quickly was having Turbo in the squad to help him out. He was never the flouncy type, but he still had shortcomings in that first season under Slutsky that were very quickly ironed out. They were pretty small ones, but nevertheless you could see he worked hard that Summer and it paid off. If KLP wants to emulate that, which he absolutely can, he has to put in the same amount of work and hope that we sign a forward player that can help bring him on.
Nail on head. Not really sure why they where kicking off at me so much and getting out their pram. But I suppose it's bank holiday and people have a few shandys. Just remember from now on, we can only talk music and jokes. Just another interesting day on not606
He has bags of potential and his career ceiling is in HIS own hands. A career like Bowen or Madison, it's up to him
I genuinely don't understand the question. Where do you think I get it from? You can see the players with a good attitude (almost all of them), stand-out examples people like Allahyar, Smallwood, McLoughlin, Eaves. You can equally spot the ones who could definitely improve their attitude, principally KLP and Wilks (and James Scott when he was here). I know it's only my opinion, but it's not like you can't spot stuff like that during games. It's hard to understand why all this KLP stuff gets people so angry.
I just see a difference in those you’ve mentioned, Wilks has no right to strut about like he’s the top dog because he’s not, KLP shouldn’t but he performs more than most and is ultimately one of the senior players at the club at this level, I see it as demanding better others can see it differently. I enjoy being disagreed with on here as I could gladly sit and talk about football all day if my other commitments allowed it.
I'd 100% agree with you if it was just demanding better, but it isn't. It's entitlement and petulance ATM. Hopefully ( and I'm sure it will ) it'll change as he matures and has some let's say stronger more experienced pros around him guiding him.
Yeah I can see that side too, unfortunately because of my other commitments I don’t get to see the whole pitch like I used too but only whoever is on the ball. He’s our best player along with Honeyman, one is a lot older and has been surrounded by seasoned veterans like Cattermole, KLP unfortunately came in last season and became one of the key figures in the squad from game 1. And has only been dropped purely because of a contract dilemma. Not a good introduction to senior football for a young talented lad in my opinion but that’s on the previous regime for being tight arsed firstly.
Next season whether he stays here or goes somewhere else, it's almost certain that he will have stronger more experienced players around him. How he reacts to that will be key for his development IMO. Hopefully it's with us and we get to see the benefits both short term through better performances and long term through hopefully a larger transfer fee
KLP is our best attacking player, but comes in for more criticism than any other player. What's that all about?
When he does go to a PL side, he'll either absolutely fly or he'll completely flop. It'll be fascinating to see what he's like when he's not the best, not guaranteed a start or even a place on the bench. I think whoever signs up will have to spend a fair bit of time with him on the training ground and it might take 6 months as it did for Robertson at Liverpool. I'd like to think that'll really wake him up, because if he really knuckles down, there's no reason he can't get on the fringes of the England senior side, as Bowen is. We're in a weird position though right now. He's got 2 years left, and unless he signs a new deal, he'll never have a higher value for us. By all accounts he wanted to go in Jan, thinks he's ready for the PL, so why would he sign a new deal? The question is, will anybody bid enough for him
I honestly don't know , nobody has ever claimed he's the finished article or the future of English football but some people seem to think it's a revelation that he isn't perfect
