Agreed for as good as he is and he’s a cracking player, he’s no good to us if he can’t string more then a handful of games together.

Hamstring again - which will need a scan to be sure of the extent of the injury and the required recovery time.
    - looking like he could be out for the season at the moment.

Watch the Full 90 around 21:15
Broadhead gets the ball on the touchline then goes on a run, the defender makes a challenge and he seems to pull something there. If it was bad then surely he should have gone down for treatment straight away but he didn't and he then speaks to the physio when Evans is injured and sits down a few minutes later.

Not at all, the memory of Gooch scoring at Wembley leaves the door open for a cameo.

Very similar to Denver Hume, but I would still gamble on Broadhead if the price was right.

I think you have hit the nail on the head and it is why we have gone on a long unbeaten run. AN, he hasn't had the time to work with the squad to implement his style completely , but what he does is sets us up to get a result against the opposition depending on how they play.
What I think he is also very very good at is realising very early if his game plan isn't working and what's also important is he seems to know how to change it.
I know everyone is entitled to their opinions but I'll never understand these people who are already writing our chances off saying it's the sunderland way
Let's all just KTF get behind the lads I can't wait to get to Wembley. My son was 15 the last play off final, when we were driving home he said I'm gutted about the result dad , but that was the best weekend of my life. Bring on trafalgar Square and imagine how he'll feel when we win it this year

13 League Games unbeaten, 8 wins and 5 draws. During this time, we have won 4 points against the the two promoted clubs, drawn at Plymouth and beaten Oxford on the road.
We have played different systems, used different personnel, had our fair share of injuries and still remained unbeaten. It's this that gives me hope for the next 3 matches. If we remain unbeaten, then the only way we fail to progress is on penalties.

Neil is a very analytical manager, who sets us up depending on the opposition and isn't afraid to change personnel or systems if they are not working.

If Broadhead is out that is a big blow, but on the plus side, Cirkin and McGeady are close to returning at just the right time. Bannon could be missing for Wednesday, which would be a massive blow to them as he is their answer to Pritchard.

We've got to treat our opponents with respect, but there's absolutely no reason why we should be fearing any one of them. Let them worry about how to beat us, something which no one has done since 19th February.

Cracking day out with family and good friends. Friendly fun atmosphere and a record crowd for Morecombe. A poor game really but we did what we had to do. Broadheads injury puts a damper on things but it gives someone else the opportunity to become a hero. Looking forward to the semi final games and just let’s see what happens. Keep the Faith lads and lasses.

I think in the play off games we have to be ultra positive and take the game to the opposition. Yes, at times especially away we will come under pressure but we have to keep getting at them. When we sat back to me we will be asking for trouble. We are the best team in the play offs we just have to have the mentality and actions to show it.

Cheers Rog. It’s good when my son can make an away game. He loves away games but family and business mean he doesn’t make many . He does go to all the home games and has been a season card holder since he was a bairn. 35 now. God I feel old. :emoticon-0136-giggl

back in England after 25 years in Netherlands and Germany, only back 4 months but relegated to dog watcher, while my sons go to the matches with wives and kids, anyway it's great to chat with him and reminisce of the matches we went to together, and the great days we had out, leaving early going to various venues in the away towns then on to the match, sometimes taking in course fishing, karting ,para jumps, swimming events at venue locations like kit car shows there are so many places to go to have treasured memories for the rest of your life, and the memories come flooding back when you remember to take plenty of snaps.treasured times mate glad your enjoying

Sadly I agree. If he’s fully fit, he’s the best striker in the division imo. Sadly he’s in fir 3 games then out for 3 months. Not his fault at all but I feel we need to look elsewhere next season no matter where we are

I know very little about physiology but sounds like the hamstring again. I can think of a few players with hamstring problems in their younger years who got on top of things as they got older. Ryan Giggs springs to mind and I am sure yoga was something he swore by. If that is a recurring problem then it can be proactively managed I think. I tend to think he is the best striker we have but the game time is a problem. Like you I would take a chance on him and try to get a proper plan for him and his hamstrings in place.

If he is going to miss the play offs then I do think it is a big blow. I dont think we have anyone else like him. He seems to have an excellent all round game, and pace, and his finishing is very good.

Yep it makes you go back to the issue of not bringing in another striker when Broadhead had his first long layoff. Defoe was a mistake!
