You brought back a memory there angelic because I was living in Andover and went to the game. If I remember correctly we won 1-0 but while leaving the area I was involved in an accident with my car and luckily they were Man Utd fans who didn't want to beat the crap out of me. The incident was my fault but luckily no damage was done and we both went on our merry ways, at least me - haha. That was my last visit to Ashton Gate for probably10 years due to leaving for Canada. Oh happy days.

Agree, 100% sour grapes. From our side of the fence, if we did the double over Stoke without them even scoring a goal against us, bearing in mind we have the 3rd worst goals conceded in the division probably means Stoke are the worst side we have played this season!

    Hi Mike
I was living with my Mum in a council prefeb at the time and I remember it like it was yesterday. I was watching Grandstand in black & white as the results came in and Donnie Gillies (I'm pretty sure) scored the winner in the 90th minute, which further enraged good old Mr Docherty.
We also beat them 1-0 at Ashton Gate earlier in the season, and I did go to that one with my Uncle. John Emmanuel got the only goal for us, and than Man U fans smashed up Coronation Road on their way back to Temple Meads.
Glad you survived your minor bump in Manchester seeing City win. It must have been pretty scary at the time !

I'm away for 3.5 weeks after today.
The cruise we booked in 2018 for 2020, which was then postponed twice, is hopefully sailing from Newcastle on Monday for the sunnier climes of Spain, Madeira, Canary Islands, Lisbon and France.
All we have to hope is that our flight doesn't get cancelled tomorrow, that we then get our cases back at the other end if the flight does run, and that we pass a Covid test at the Cruise Terminal on Monday morning before we are allowed to Check In.

I used to love the whole travel experience, but for various reasons over the past 2 years, it's become a real chore.

You are going to one of my most favourite places in the world and that is Madeira. Enjoy your cruise and Ann and I are looking forward to resuming our long distance cruises when we sail from Ft Lauderdale to Buenos Aires through the Panama Canal and round Cape Horn for a total of 31 days on the ship. It doesn't start until November and we will spend Christmas with friends in Argentina but will have to stay quiet about out visit to the Falklands on the way (sorry Malvinas).

The gaffer has told every player where they stand.
Every confidence in this guy to sort this football club out.

    Good for Nige
Roll on next season where he will start to be properly (and fairly) judged as our Managet

    Thanks Mike
In all my travels I’ve ever been to Portugal or Madeira but if we pass the Covid test on Monday we shall be visiting both over the 16 days. We have 2 days on Madeira and we are looking forward to it very much.
I’m very jealous of your trip to Buenos Aires,Cape Horn and the Falkland’s
    Fantastic

I have to disagree, we’d all like more points obviously, but where we’ve ended up is pretty much where I expected, it’s all very well saying we need value for the money spent, but Nige didn’t spend that money, the wages were already agreed before he got here. A large chunk of our wage bill is spent on players he obviously doesn’t rate, as they aren’t in the first team. Considering the amount of young players we’ve used I’m relatively happy with where we are.

I don’t agree, we have underachieved in my eyes as well. We should have been at least comfortably mid-table with NP as manager and this squad. The players fees and wages are irrelevant as they happened in another time. The fact is NP cast many aside and fell out with others and he lost them in my eyes by being to bully boy. He seemed to calm that side of him down in 2022 but for me it was too late to get the best out of some of these players. Hindsight is great, but I don’t recall a single person on here saying we shouldn’t have bought the likes of Kalas and Wells when they signed. Quite the opposite in fact, it was all heralded as City moving forward. Easy to say it’s flawed now COVID hit, but it was working before that, and as we have seen our individual wages were not that high compared to a lot in the Championship.

    Interesting :emoticon-0127-lipss

Sykes left out by Oxford United today. When asked why by @OxfordMailOUFC, Karl Robinson said, "I think you know why..." Championship interest in him. Worth keeping an eye on. #BristolCity

Of course the fees and wages are relevant, they determine what is left at Niges disposal to bring in his own players. I agree with your comments about Kalas, & by the way he wasn’t who I meant , I disagree about Palmer and Wells.
