Ronnie plays better the bigger the challenge. I seriously believe he puts himself into challenging situations just to up his game - usually gets away with it, but sometimes doesn’t. Should be a cracker against Higgins.

I hear Ronnie is being filmed through this championship and that could just be the challenge he needs to keep on his toes, keep focused and complete the dream.

Gutted Higgins beat Lisowski, gonna be really tough for Ron that game. Lost tge last couple to Higgins and I think Lisowski would've frozen on the single table for the first time. Should be 2 crackers both Semi's. Come on Ron

Trump seems to be hitting form at just the right time.

Switched from Williams now have you lol ? Agree Trump Is improving at the right time, but Williams put up no resistance at all today, looked totally knackered. Bingham is a ****er for not putting Trump out the tournament yesterday when he was totally gone at 8-5 down. Imperative Ronnie doesn't fall behind Higgins early doors tonight, he's gonna have to produce 2 of his best ever performances to win the title now. Not too sure he's still got it in his locker but praying he has.

I said Williams looked like the one to beat, which he did.
Looks totally drained, although I wouldn't write him off just yet.

Superb recovery from Ron from 3-0 down to draw session 4-4. Had some terrible run of the balls early on and could easily have won the session. The table was playing pathetically slow and has to be relaid overnight. Game on and looks like being a classic

Yep saw it & really should be at least 6-2 up but suppose he will settle for 4-4 after losing first 3

Just felt like he didn't really get the run of the ball in the tight frames and Higgins did what he does and nicked them all. Was good to see Ron still contest and knock in 2 tons when on other occasions he would've let his head drop and become moody and throw in the towel. Fancy it to go deep but hoping he can pull it out. Trump looking to hit form at crucial time unfortunately, and not good news .

He seems to me to be more focused than normal & truly believe he wants to win this world championship, ok he does say he enjoys & playing for fun, but he just seems different in this tournament

Couldn't agree more, no matter what he's saying he's definitely trying his nuts off. He's turning long pots he'd normally take on and isn't getting as frustrated as he has in the past. I think he realises there won't be many opportunities left to match or better Hendry's 7 titles and is really giving it his all. I really hope he wins it not just for the money but I believe he deserves to at least share the record as he's been unbelievable for the sport and entertainment.

I was going to say the same thing. Not seen him banging his cue and thumping the table that early in a match before. Higgins is a dangerous hurdle though. And Trump seems to have found himself suddenly. Could be a good few days through ‘til Monday. Still think Ronnie is playing to the cameras as much as the title - if that’s what needed to get there, no problem with that.

If anything, and Hendry said the same, Ronnie is being too hesitant.
I've never seen him hesitate and change his mind so much.
If he's not careful his over-thinking will cost him the match. Maybe he should play on instinct a bit more?

Yeah, there's a film crew following him.
I think he's playing to them a bit too much.

Coming out at 6-6, Ronnie made a lovely break to win the frame.
Then, this next frame, Higgins is getting outrageous luck.

Wow. Ronnie pulling out unbelievable shots to take the last frame of the session to a re-spotted black.

Unbelievable, colossal clearence from Ron in the last frame and nicks it on the responded black. Genius at work. 10-6 and looking strong. Hopefully Trump's tip falls off tonight and all will be good !

Higgins hasn't been on top form, and won't get away with it like against Lisowski. Never write him off as he can win any frame from any position, but hopefully his form stays like this and Ron can hold him off.

Well well well, Williams wins the session 6-2 and claws back to only 13-11 behind. Can he produce one of the great comebacks, God is hope so lol

Great morning session for Ronnie including 3 century breaks & extending his Lead to 15-9, Higgins seems a bit out of sorts at present, 2 more tonight will do Ronnie
