funnily enough... the only game i saw him play for Germany he played DM. He was sh*t then too I thought he wasn't up to the physicality of the premier league last year, he looked a decent footballer but defensively poor. Recckons he's bulked up a bit this year deliberately... but we haven;t seen him at CB. Both Bielsa and Marsch appear to prefer llorente... which isn't a glowing recommendation in my book.
i'm putting it out their... Watford to beat Burnley. It's last chance saloon for watford, Burnley have had a little run but their away form is as bad as watford's home form. Watford just keep missing chances, their day will come... ... i hope
Thought KP was well off the pace last night... think it was Jammy who pointed out he often seems to take a few games to get up to speed after injury. It looked that way. I'm also not sure Marsch's double pivot will get the best out of him - not sure it does for England either despite the accolades. Whichever let's hope 90 minutes has sharpened him up.
We went to Selhurst Park and got a draw. To me, thats a great result. We can't help the fixture list we have in front of us.
Burnley looked done a few weeks ago. Different kind of pressure on them now they have hope. Watford to thump them.
I have to say this one in/one out injury policy this season really impacted last night. KP back but we lose Forshaw. I would love to have seen them together last night. They would have been a far more effective pairing then KP & Klich or Koch. I think we would have had much more control in midfield with them two. Forshaw would have allowed Kalvin to be more Kalvin like.
Just hope Citeh run there bollocks off and have a slender lead to go to Madrid with, Stones injured already, get a few more crocked and might have a chance on Saturday.
City dont have a 18+4 policy so have a 30 man squad of top players, they even fielded their second string against Liverpool last week in the cup so that league and CL not affected. A point against City will be massive
Ederson Steffen Walker Diaz Stones Laporte **Mendy** Ake Cancelo Gundogan Grealish Zinchenko Rodri De Bruyne Bernardo Silva Fernandinho Foden Sterling Gabriel Jesus Mahrez Not too dissimilar. I missed Scott Carson. I'm sure their youth are very good.
Number of players used by all Premier League teams in the EPL this season. First number (in brackets) is the total number of players used. Second Number is number of players who have played more than 500 minutes in the EPL + those who have played less Third number (in brackets) number of players currently aged 21 or under who have made an EPL appearance If the number is in green then this is higher than the league average, blue is lower than the average Average number of players in a squad to have made an appearance = 24 Average number of players in a squad to have played over 500 minutes in EPL = 19 Average number of players aged 21 or under in a squad to have made an appearance = 3 Average number of players aged 22 or over per squad = 21 (Team names in blue show if below this average, green names is higher than average) Leeds (27) 19+8 (9 u21) Man City (24) 18+6 (5 u21) Liverpool (25) 19+6 (4 u21) Chelsea (24) 21+3 (1 u21) Arsenal (20) 17+3 (3 u21) Spurs (21) 19+2 (3 u21) Scum (24) 19+5 (3 u21) West Ham (23) 17+6 (2 u21) Wolves (23) 15+8 (4 u21) Newcastle (27) 23+4 (0 U21) Leicester (25) 21+4 (2 u21) Brighton (22) 17+5 (4 u21) Brentford (24) 20+4 (1 u21) Southampton (25) 19+6 ( 2 u21) Palace (24) 19+5 ( 4 u21) Villa (21) 15+6 (3 u21) Burnley (22) 18+4 (1 u21) Everton (27) 18+9 (4 u21) Watford (27) 21+6 (2 u21) Norwich (25) 19+6 (6 u21) The highest number of players used by any one team is 27, being ourselves, Everton, Newcastle and Watford. Arsenal have used the lowest with 20 players, followed by Spurs and Villa with 21. Wolves and Villa have the least number of players to have made more than 500 minutes worth of appearances with 15, with Arsenal, West Ham and Brighton next with 17 players. Newcastle have 23 players who have played more than 500 minutes, followed by Chelsea, Leicester and Watford with 21. We have used the most players aged 21 or under (at todays date) with 9 in total, followed by Norwich with 6 and Man City with 5. Newcastle havent used any players aged 21 or under, whilst Chelsea, Brentford and Burnley have used 1. So this would suggest on average that the ideal squad should be 21 recognised first team squad players + 3 U21's
Google was smoking last night mate first observations is the i juries forced us into using 9 kids, secondly because we used so many kids we didnt have the control or experience to impact games as we hoped to. Consequence is a poor season. Think we really need to spend this summer on experience and quality, to get us in a position where we dont ever need to use more than 4 kids. If 18+4 is the aim we need another season to be able to get there, so 21+4 would make sense this summer and maybe one or two of the older end released at the end of the new season
