I suppose. I don’t care really, in fact I would far rather have Everton in the PL than Burnley because it feels to me like we never beat Burnley.
Players needed a 2nd half performance and they delivered. It wasn't faultless but we were the team on top and they were committed. Not on the beach at all. And Prowsie is just awesome.
Obviously we still have plenty of issues at the moment, but coming back from 2-0 is a great result. Very Un-Saintslike to claw our way back into a game rather than collapsing even further or accepting we will lose and just limping on to FT.
1st minute goal too. Put your hand up if you don’t immediately think 9-0 when we concede in the first few mins.
Not every team; we always seem to play well against Citeh but never beat them, so I’d like them to stay in the division till we win one. And we seem to beat Spurs every season…
I agree that the magical 40 points should see us safe albeit there is still the mathematical possibility of getting caught up in a relegation battle. In reality, I think Watford and Norwich are down but the defeat of Everton by Liverpool makes me wonder how much they have within them to claw their way out. I have a feeling that they are doomed even though you could see them picking up points against the likes of Watford, Palace and Brentford.. I can see Burnley picking up wns against Watofrd and at home to Villa to put them at 37 points. Not sure how Evertyon can pick up 9 points from their remainig fixtures. All in all, an excellent result today and perhapswe can improve on this next weekend against Palace.
That draw feels like a win - i missed the first 20 mins, but from what I saw, we were the better side. I`m a Tella fan, but he doesn`t seem to have 90 mins in him - something to work on.
Well that’s one of my expected points, from a totally unexpected result. I hope the rest of the team give JWP half of any bonus they get from this result. Saints really are a one man business, JWP Enterprises at your service.
Very clever from Prowsie, he anticipated Sanchez making that step to his left and he placed it perfectly.
