Got me thinking, talk of £140m for Rice, Bruno similar player and worth £100m to us regardless what someone would offer, I guess that was probably the thinking behind Joelinton and thank **** Ashley isn't here anymore or Bruno would be gone though he'd never have bought him in the first place.

He’s an average centre back. Positioning isn’t great. Prone to lapses of concentration etc

 

He's better than anything we've got though

 

And? Just because someone is better than what we have doesn’t mean you go and get it.
Not exactly hard to be better than Lascelles, Clark and Schar.

However, as I’ve pointed out his deficiencies maybe you could point out his strengths?

 

I'm just saying if players are better then what we've got that's fine.

 

But you’re wanting to spend a huge chunk on a player who is marginally better than what we have.

We should be aiming for higher.

It's probably his last chance to sign for the likes of RM, so no doubt will take up one of those offers in any event. Not the right fit for us.
