They still signed players they wanted for their systems. Bentancur and Kulusevski have slotted into Conte’s nicely and we’ll need more like that in the summer. Of course he’s going to mess up and make mistakes, it’s almost impossible not too with the players he’s got to work with. He’s got a RB that can’t play RWB, a RWB that’s injured (who isn’t great anyway, just less ****). A LWB that was carrying a knock and another LWB that’s ****. Davies probably played better when shifted to LWB than Sess did, which isn’t high praise but just shows Conte’s hands are tied. We’ve also not got a midfielder capable of playing forward passes. Until he gets his own players then chances are we’ll have more **** performances from these players, especially when Kane or Son don’t pull a rabbit out the hat.
We managed no shots on target. They hit the woodwork twice. They had 15 attempts we had 9. If they didn't attempt to play football then we were worse imo
Can’t play football against cloggers. Winning the odd free kick and getting a lucky knockdown or winning the odd header isn’t football. I thought Brentford were meant to be good, second season syndrome and relegation next season beckons. we’ll still finish top 4.
If Brentford had luck on their side they'd have beaten all of Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham at home. And they dismantled Arsenal easily on the opening day - Thomas Frank has been really impressive.
He's got plenty of options. Stop playing five at the back would be the main one. He doesn't have wingbacks. Stop playing a system that's entirely reliant on wingbacks. Play either Moura or Bergwijn, push Son up with Kane and attack teams. Move Kulusevski into an attacking midfield role. Don't make like-for-like subs when it's not working. Don't make subs that break the system down completely. He's supposed to be a good manager. He needs to demonstrate that.
Officials or not PNP they got the points. I 'm going to suggest that as bad as you think Arsenal were, Spurs were worse.,. shocking infact, considering there was so much at stake.
Exact problem I have with Tuchel at the minute. There's just no need to play a wing back system against technically inferior opponents.
He hasn’t got plenty of options at all. He also won’t change his system, barely no manager does. They change personnel over time to improve their system. He is a good a manager, just not a miracle worker, which is what I think you’re seemingly expecting.
Apart from two forwards who score and create lots of chances? He's paid a ****load of money. The rest of the squad could be utterly average and he should do better. It's not the players, it's the **** system. Do Brighton and Brentford have better players than us?
Arsenal won’t beat West Ham, their luck will run out again. We’ll beat Leicester then beat arsenal. Just their brief day in the sun.I
No but they have systems that have been built over time and Frank’s system has been massively boosted with Eriksen’s arrival. Give Conte a couple of WBs plus a creative/ forward passing midfielder and his system will be massively boosted.
He’s the only one probably capable of changing a game but this is also the same guy that scored one league goal last season. It’s desperate measures when looking at our bench options.
West Ham have one fit CB at the minute and the game comes in between the biggest game in their history. There's no incentive for them to even try against Arsenal, they'll likely finish above United regardless now.
