The Jonathan Burke/Tom George combination is always worth considering in a Chase (14:40 Perth), and so Oscar Robertson might be worth a small wager in this marathon Class-3 event. The Oscar gelding is certainly well-bred for the job, with Presenting the dam sire. Seems to prefer good or good-to-soft ground which he should get today. 15/2 best price freely-available at time of writing.

Well, Oscar Robertson tried hard but just not good enough in this tough race. Not one to chase my losses, but must have just a modest punt on Westover in the 15:35 at Sandown. SP will have to do! Around 8/1 at the moment.

Westover certainly dominated on looks, nice big racehorse with a promising future. Slightly green at the finish when he drifted a bit to his left, giving the second a chance to come between him and the favourite. Maybe would not have been so close had Westover kept dead straight? What am I saying? I have no idea on this sort of thing, I always leave it to Nassau! :emoticon-0105-wink: :bandit:

I thought the grey did well TBH after acting up so badly before the start. Looks stamina laden so could well be a 12F horse

Good choice Swanny, even if I did back the 2nd.

Anyone who thinks Cash could be a Derby horse may need help. He may be a very good horse but he needs a flat course with a long straight. Epsom to him would be the equivalent of skating down a roof.

Is the shine coming off Appleby. Been around long enough to know a trainer/stable can be 7lb ahead for the first month of the season, then everyone catches up.
