I agree bur I didn't want to drag out the arguments especially straight after a defeat. It'd sound bitter, but I think his personality and rapport with fans has papered over the cracks. That said could we attract better ??
We.need a good summer This squad isn’t good enough Ralph got who he wanted from the limited options he would have had under Gao He may get better ‘who he wants’ now We don’t have anyone to turn a bad game around and everyone gets worse as the game goes on Well done FF
I honestly think that is more of a mentality issue than anything else. We started the game on top until a good goal is scored against us and the team almost immediately crumbled and it might've been 4 or 5 conceded before half time. A team can go a long way with team spirit and togetherness, remember the promotion team?, Ralph has to find a way to get that fight, desire and spirit into this team and buying a couple of leaders would help massively (like Deano and Jose) and although his worth and loyalty is great, JWP does not strike me as a natural Captain.
I just think this is who we are. A sometimes good and a sometimes crap mid table team. A new manger would be exactly the same. Some good results and some bad. Until this week Burnley thought the same and stuck with Dyche for all those years.
So out of interest, for research sake, how many people are losing their **** about this? Or you mean Twitter? I can't see anyone really doing so on here...
I am not sure any game is meaningless, with still a top 9 finish available.aybe this is part of the issue, everyone including the players, coach and fans will accept mediocrity, when we should be striving fire more. Very, very disappointed tonight. This is so much worse than Chelsea (who were very good). Today we were bossed by a very poor team
True but what’s he gonna do when we can be **** with any formation and with the same or a changed team They were flakey until they scored and we crumbled individually and collectively
Couldn’t agree more, we go a goal or two down and the players are just staring around at each other hopelessly with nobody to grab the game by the scruff of the neck. I didn’t quite hear the sky sports stat, it was something about when we’ve gone behind by 2 goals by half time, we haven’t come back in 6 years. Not sure if that was drawing or winning though? Either way, that’s a terrible stat to have.
I glanced at Facebook. There is the normal on here who miraculously we hear from for the first time once we go behind. If we were in the bottom 3 or near I would be completely different, but as well as the team I am on the beach already.
If Burnley are a direct PL rival to us next season, it is safe to assume that next season will be a bad one for us. Whereas if Everton are a direct PL rival to us next season, that in theory could still mean that we are having a better season that this one. So even putting aside direct feelings towards Everton, just looking at things from a Saints point of view it would be better for Burnley to stay up. On and off the pitch, Everton being in the PL has the potential to be a bigger headache/obstacle for us than Burnley.
I think everybody agrees. Yet I can almost guarantee next game there’ll be a comment about how you’re not allowed to criticise Ralph on here, and that he can do no wrong. Even though literally everyone is criticising him for tonight, and saying he got it wrong.
Ah fair enough, don't have FB so no idea. I mean I don't post much here nowadays, and see the juxtaposition we are in with Ralph, but lately it's more Catherine Tate...
I'll stick my hand up for this. Below Brentford and Newcastle in the table. Just 9 wins all season Consistently awful displays for the last 7 games. Losing to all the relegation threatened teams A team who look like they've given up/don't care Apart from the usual "well who else is there?" I'm yet to see a reason for keeping RH. Everyone is celebrating this ****e as something to be pleased with. I don't get it. It will be exactly the same next season if Ralph is in charge. Long losing streaks with a couple of wins which buys him goodwill before he repeats it all over again.
Fair point and you won't hear that from me. I do think the club will be looking hard at how we are playing though, but fully expect Ralph to be here start of next season.
I honestly don't mind when we lose the occasional game. As long as we put a shift in and, more importantly, play entertaining football. Right now there is zero entertainment. Hasn't been since we played Norwich.
