That might make them more dangerous. They could become a team instead of a support system for Ronaldo's ego. Happens to a lot of teams with one bigname player who gets the focus... As soon as he steps out the team plays better.
Utd have confirmed ronaldo is out. Somethings are more important so I hope that he gets time time and privacy as requested in their statement.
Erm... CR doesn't work; ie they play better as a team without him. Hence me saying I'd have preferred him to play.
He doesn't work, true - but he can sink you with one or two moments of magic. I'm happy that he's not playing, though obviously not for the reasons behind it. Sometimes people find activity brings a welcome distraction from grief, but he needs to spend the time with his family, for their sake if not for his own.
Can’t argue with Ronaldos goal numbers this season. United may play better without him, but he has 21 goals in 34 appearances this season. Bruno has 9 in 40. next on the list is rapey mcraperson with 6 from 24. If they line up Sancho Rashford Elanga will be 13 goals in 86 appearances.
Just for comparison Salah 28 in 41 Jota 21 in 44 Mane 18 in 41 Firmino 11 in 31 Minamino 9 in 21 - goal every 102 mins!!! Fabinho 7 in 40 - our DM has more goals than their wide forwards. even origi has 5 in 15 at a goal every 107 mins.
Ronaldo did well in cl. A goal a game or something til the anit football atletico rolled in. The league not so much but the recent couple of hat tricks pad the score nicely. Anyone would struggle with the managerial crisis at man utd tbh

My attitude towards Ronaldo has shifted quite abit over the years. Obviously hated him at utd, didn't really like him fir Madrid either, but grudging respect started to edge in, that's turned into if not admiration but something close. The lads scored goals where ever he's gone, the lung busting runs, beating 4 players and slamming it past the keeper might be gone, but if the ball falls to him, he's still deadly. On top of that, he's performed in every league he's played in to a huge standard. The lads an absolute monster. Now let's never speak of him again. This will not be repeated.
