Will you feel bad if we win two or three of the remaining games and the board decide to keep him for another season? I hope that you will move on and respect the decision and stay true to the R's.

I voted for giving him another year mainly because I dont trust the board to get someone better, rather have the devil you know

I just don't think you can answer this question without identifying and evaluating the alternatives available over this summer

Okay joking aside the reason I believe he deserves another season is if you think back to the desperate state we were in when he took over, the season of the McLaren sh1tshow, we finished with 5 or 6 straight defeats and a crap team...... He cleared out the deadwood and bought in younger players and improved us in the first season....... plus improved the likes of BOS, Manning, Eze so much so that they moved on to other clubs for a fee and in Eze's case mega money......

Last season we were poor up to end of December but from January 21 to January 22 we were one of the top 7 or 8 form teams in the country across all 4 divisions, playing good front foot football, what was it 31 consecutive games we scored and 19 consecutive away games........ If anything I thought AFCON would derail us with Seny and Chair away but if anything we ground out results to take 16 from 18 points....... Now no club can cope with losing 3 goalkeepers in a 2 month period and then a 4th pulling out due to sickness a couple of weeks ago....... Also the loss of arguably out POTS in Willock hasn't helped........nor the loss of McCullam for 4 or 5 months......

I get the complaint about Warbles and his tinkering, especially at a time when it was getting towards the business end of the season, in hindsight he should have stuck to the core of players he trusted in that 13 month period to see out the job........ the 2 loanees haven't worked out and weren't really needed as we had cover in those positions and the fixation of playing them seemed unnecessary....... Last Friday showed the way forward, younger players full of pace and wanting to play and get forward taking the game to opponents....... I'd certainly give him the start of next season to see where we're at by the time of the natural break for the World Cup and if we're not going well then look to make a change.......

I always want us to win no matter what, if he stays then ofcourse I'll still want us to win every game. If we get rid of him and replace him with someone who I don't want ill still want us to win every game. It's not about that. I've been a Hoops fan all my life, I've travelled everywhere possible to see them play and sing my heart out. I've seen us get battered at places you can only imagine, the deepest darkest ****holes in the football league in League 2 lol. That never altered no matter who the owners, Chairmen, manager or players were. Its about taking the club forward, progressing, becoming a better side and hopefully a Premiership side. I want us to learn, like Brentford have. We have addressed certain things monetarily, but on the pitch we have a long way to go. In my eyes we need a manager with newer brighter ideas and who has tactical nous and more than 1 style of play when things are going badly. If that makes a knowall or an agitator then I'll wear it, but I won't back down from saying what I believe is best for the club in the long run !

He won promotions both with Brentford and Rangers, so not entirely true....

Had Redknapp ever won a promotion before taking us up?

I put these up weeks ago, they are out there, we just need to wake up and go after them. Money will certainly rule out some but if we are brave enough then we can find a suitable one.

A lot of people are casting a vote who visit this board but don’t post on here, as is of course their choice. It’s good to see them involved, I certainly don’t know where everyone stands and the numbers on this poll are actually a surprise to me, just demonstrating that even on a message board some people can shout louder than others and do not necessarily reflect the majority. It’s not pointless, it’s dialogue.

If that scenario panned out, which managers would be available 10 odd games into the season ? What time would they have to implement their ideas on the squad and they wouldn't be able to bring in any players that they wanted. This is the problem, a new man needs to evaluate what he has and what he needs before he can start to put his own ideas in place. It's never an easy choice, unless it's Mark Hughes

I know I'm in the minority and that won't change on this subject unless we lose every game for 3 months. However as there are only 4 games left and I believe the board has already made a decision I can't see that happening.

You should be happy. Someone made up their mind it seems. I read about a week or so ago on LFW that Dave Mac (WLS) tweeted Warburton will be off, it was all decided weeks ago. Dave is usually right, unfortunately if he is on this one too imo. But apparently he's said nothing else at all, no story. Maybe Warburton wants to go, maybe the Board want to change, maybe there was a bust up about something, maybe they'll change their minds. Here's hoping.

Probably managers that have been unsuccessful and sacked by their respective clubs..........

Personally I feel they'll promote Eustace to manager if Warburton goes....... he's obviously highly thought of as Swansea wanted him to manage them at the start of the season and he's just been appointed as a coach to ROI national side........

Otherwise the board will have to go out and buy one of the up and coming coaches that you want and pay compensation.........

I have no idea about behind the scenes, what I do know is that there were 2 Qpr representatives at the MK Dons game 2 weeks ago. They weren't scouts is all I read, no idea who they were as it didn't state. If they were there to try and tempt their manager away I would be happy with his appointment. Yes untried, but from what I've seen he has the sort of vision and style that could take us places if the board give him half a chance.

Pleasantly surprised to see so many who want to stick with MW. Won't restate why I'd stick with him as I've covered it all on the other thread. Fingers crossed Willock / Chair / Dykes are all better next year with another full season under their belts and we see some defensive reinforcements come in. If he does go, I really hope it's only because senior management have an excellent replacement lined up.

if they were there to tempt the manager away would they be seen anywhere near the ground? if the guy has a contract then they would need permission and that sort of thing usually leaks very quickly.

Thinking Warburton has taken us as far as he can doesn't mean one hates QPR or wants them to fail.
    It's actually the opposite.
We all want the same thing, but we disagree about how to achieve it at times.

I think some of the scorn poured down on critics of Warburton has been a bit OTT.

We're all on the same side.

Maybe Warburton has decided that 3 years in the job is long enough and it's time to move on....... afterall people change jobs all the time and if he goes under his own terms then so be it........ it's been a nice change for us to have a bit of stability and he would leave us in better shape than when he took over.......

Could be. He's certainly been a bit prickly about the criticism he's been getting.
    Maybe he's decided to walk.
    I hadn't considered that.

I’ struggling to find a clear cut answer.

Yes, keep him for another season ….. because he’s done an alright job and got us further up the table than expected with no budget.

No, he seems to have lost the dressing room of late, with loses to the teams who haven’t won since Christ was a lad.

Summary - l can’t see anyone else better coming in, prepared to work with no budget, and achieving any better.

That’s a reluctant YES keep him, from me.
