After last week's debacle, l am having a hard time getting motivated for this game. Hopefully the weather will be like today and outdoor drinking before kickoff will be (high) on the itinerary. Oh! here's to getting a point, or is that a ... ?
I agree with you. Mrs No7 normally works Easter weekend but this year she is off and now I am back on a UK contract rather than US one I get it off too. Going tomorrow seems a waste of a day.
Wasn’t Peter Bankes the first guitarist for Yes before they recruited Steve Howe? Oops - sorry - music thread in the match thread again …..
You said I'm biased, and yet I was siding with Bednarek choosing to play for Poland over Saints. But anyway, let's move on, it's Friday
Didn’t say you were Polish so that’s strange. Yes, I said you’re bias (for your view) & I’m bias (similar for my view) but they’re different
Think performance is more important than result today? Another limp defeat or collapse and I think the pressure will build.
I've worked out what the problem was against Chelsea last week - we were ****. Don't be **** today Saints. Not that ****, anyway. Especially whoever plays at CB; in fact you know what Ralph - I'd have no problem with you putting a couple of cones out at CB, rather than the pair of muppets pretending to play there last week.
I do not have much expectation for today but I cannot agree that the pressure will build. There is no way I can see Saints getting rid of Ralph. A limp defeat is not on the cards and I am sure we will see a much improved performance today. The disappointing thing is that Newcastle could overtake us yet relegtion is not really possible and I think we will leap over the line. It is a shame that we have not finished the last quarter of the season with a flourish and have probably under-ahieved. We don't need a massive overhaul for next season and a couple of decent signings should see us well. A few weeks back everyone was saying that we had quality in depth in our squad and I think this is still largely the case. I would like to see Perraud given a run out today.
I wouldn't drop Salisu. I'de play him alongside Lyanco if match ready. He looked a little naive in his first game but can't honestly remember any glaring errors.
I was talking from the fans point of view rather than the club as I think another heavy defeat will push those currently on the fence over to the other side. I tend to agree that we'll get a response today though. My point was more that I'm not expecting a win or anything but I am expecting a response from last week, even if it still ends in defeat.
