Agree, I think China would be more put off by the global sanctions than Putin seems to be. They really can't afford to isolate themselves from the global economy. My guess is they will keep out of it if at all possible.
The very fact this conversation even exists that Russia needs help from China to beat Ukraine is funny as **** to be honest.
Russians threatening Nukes if Sweden and Finland join Nato They should do so, because we cannot allow Russia to weaponize threats too much. We cannot risk getting involved in Ukraine, but the rest of the world should go on as normal. If we cannot live our lives the way we want without WW3 happening then unfortunately it may be unavoidable due to Adolf Putin and his 4th Reich.
Putin hasn't got the political power for such a move. The issue comes when you are surrounded by infighting sycophants; who are quick to throw each other under the bus. The idea that the most corrupt government on earth would genuinely decide to blow themselves to smithereens because of Finland is laughable.
We should just sign Sweden and Finland up and call the boss eyed dwarf’s bluff. If he fired a nuke at Sweden the west would wipe Russia off the map.
They won't do a damned thing. This was some random aid who said this ****, not actually Putin. The dwarf likes to make his own big statements, doesn't get his pussyholes to do it for him. Not to mention, all they said is that they would move nukes closer to the Finnish border. Which is an absolutely pointless statement. First of all I find it hard to believe there arent nukes already in that area anyway. Second, since when did you need to have them directly next door in the first place, America can hit Moscow tomorrow from the US.
Here's the thing. I think they all talk a ton of **** about how far and fast these things can actually go. Its all one big bluff and one big load of bollox.
If there's anyone here who can make western countries leaders listen (democratic ones I mean) then please let them know this: Appeasing Putin today (for the reason of avoiding war between him and NATO) then doing that is just postponing the inevitable. Putin is insane, and by trying to avoid him serves ONLY to encourage him to do precisely what he is doing now in Ukraine. He will be encouraged to attack another country because he believes the west won't stop him militarily. They should act now when some of his people would like to get rid of him (as I believe based on my being have lived under dictatorship)
We should play the Dwarf at his own game. announce a special operation where we leave loads of planes near the border of Ukraine…. Then overnight get Ukraine to send in loads of John Deere tractors to Town them over the border. Then shout our displeasure at their ‘theft’….
I'm pretty damn sure us and the yanks pulled that **** off before they found their balls and joined ww2. Sure they made a load of planes, left them at the Canadian birder and allowed us to tow them over the border to get them back home to UK.
Fully expect UK and US to join this **** show round about a year from now when the Russians will be a tad war weary and have nothing left to drive after its all been towed away by Ukranian Farmers.
