west ham allocated 4,100 seats. didnt adam pearson say that no club would be given the whole of the north stand again in his programme notes for the leeds game last season.
why not give them the full stand ? thats still leaves room for 21,000 Hull City fans. Money talks and after the poor away followings since the Blackpool game i dont blame Adam P one little bit. Money in the kitty. Jobs a gud un.
We're not selling out the stadium, so we might as well take advantage of available away support to fill the place. Though I'm not sure where you got the 4,100 from, there aren't actually that many seats in the North Stand.
There's 4000 seats in the North and they don't sell all of them, the only time it was sold out last season was the Leeds game and they had 3,800, I assume it will be the same.
4k !!! That will be a game not to be missed then. With that kind of Prem away support they deserve AND will be back in the Prem next season.
You get promoted for winning games, not for having a lot of travelling fans. Which is a good job, as Leeds have the biggest away following in the league, presumably you expect them to go up too?
i do enjoy games when the away end is packed, gets our lot going too...if we can pick up a few points in the next 2 games, we could head into the game both high up in the table, which may then get us on the football league show and stop the usual sunday morning thread about being ignored
I see on the OWS there was mention of Sky Sports being at the KC this week doing extended interviews for the Football League Weekend programme
As we're top of the form table and West Ham are considered the best team in the league, we might well be the featured game.
maybe the hammers fans consider us to be there main rivals over the season and class it as a massive game. i was told that the north stand can hold 4,500 if you incl the 2 corners of the west and east stands. either way this is good news and the SELL OUT signs should be up for this one. Win @ both Forest & Barnsley and they will be. surely ?
If that's the gauge, we should use the same piece of invisible string that held the Millwall fans at bay. It amazes me that people saw that bounce behind bill as much of an event.
Unless I've got it wrong it merely states that's what their allocation is not how many they'll actually bring . You never know they might bring as many as Watford . I can see the logic in giving them that many seats and have no problem at all with that . What I do have a problem is giving Leeds the full North stand when there are people from Hull who can't get tickets for that game . I know lads at work who go to three or four games a season and couldn't get tickets last season for the Leeds game . Give the ****ers 1000 tickets. We'd still sell out and they wouldn't be able to give it the usual boring old ****e about how amazing their travelling support is . **** it give 'em 500 .
