Whether it's tonsilitis or something else it's probably a good idea he's in Germany and well away from the rest of the squad.
Might as well stay there - he's not getting into the team this season and we won't sign him permanently
Not a lot to chose between any of the present wingers, all decent enough but no consistency. I personally think Diamond is as good as any of the current bunch but I fear he will not get the chance to prove it. Patterson was the best keeper at the club last season , but Hoff got the nod when Burge needed replacing simply because it was the easier option for the manager to take.
Shame for the lad he's obviously got some talent but it's not really worked out for him. Best time he had was playing left wing back when Gooch was right wing back and we had our good run under Johnson. I don't know if Neil is deliberately not playing loan players as him Hoffman and Doyle ain't really featured of late. I have no issue with this as he's obviously trying to get a feel for the players who should be here next year.
Get promotion and Doyle stays for another season I believe. Although I am sure that would be dependent on all parties agreeing.
Im not so sure Neil fancies him. He hasn't featured at all yet under him, despite playing every single game under Johnson. Neil obviously prefers older heads at the back.
Obviously I haven't got their contracts in front of me so I can't say for sure but I thought that if we go up we're obligated to sign them whether we want to or not. Doubt we would if we're stuck for another season in league one, Dajaku's a bit of a luxury and Patterson has made it his position.
I'm not sure on the ins and outs of it either mate. If it's not a contracted decision then I don't think Neil will sign them if he has the choice.
Last time I saw Hoffman play he looked shot to bits, nervy and his distribution was woeful. We were playing utterly ****e though and he wasn’t the only one who needed a rest.
i like them both and really wanted them to do well and become permanent, i now think that was more 'selfish' from myself as the word was we would sign them both if we got promoted...both have the talent there and i think they will both carve out at least a decent career each but being thrown into this squad in this division has proven to be quite a stretch for the young lads, although i stick by the thought that none have actually let themselves down just it was too much for their first 'real' seasons.
