Will we be giving the American as long to prove himself as we did the Argie.

It doesn't say 70% are collisions in matches, just contact injuries. Murder ball by any chance?

Well Bielsa proved it pretty quickly TBF to him. I haven't a crystal ball but my gut feeling is that he won't be here for three seasons. First we still have make ourselves mathematically safe and then hope we can hang on to philips and raph<ok>

Best way of looking at it.

If you had 100 pints of ale, and Shako came along and drank 53 of them.....

So the athletic “expert” Dinnery hasnt seen the players or spoken to them, but just accepted as fact? There is however a couple of years between the Price interview and this Dinnery guy, but why would Price allow his players to go downhill? I prefer to believe one of the top guys in British football over some geezer the Atlantic turn up. But lets see what comes out if this because Price is being put on trial here, not just Bielsa

He would still not be injured by a collision?

This is getting a bit silly, no one's on trial, JM's opinion is the players were over trained, MB's opinion is that's how he coaches. Two different styles. I bet if the 2 of them sat in a room and discussed it there wouldn't be a cross word between them.

Exactly. Not the answer to the question asked. And unnecessary.

Has it occurred to anyone that the guy telling marsch the players are over-trained may well be rob price… his head of performance? Just a thought.

Bielsa set the agenda, price plays the cards he’s dealt to the best of his ability. Now he has a different boss.

As mentioned earlier, jm answered a question about injuries with an answer about being overtrained. You can hit all the stats, but you feel mentally and physically fcked. That’s consistent with player feedback.

price’s comments were interesting… push harder, gain an edge but risk injury. I guess all coaches pick some point on that risk reward path.

It’s not necessarily a right or wrong… or though you could put a player welfare question to the ‘floggers’.

what isn’t really addressed is the mental fatigue of going to the well day in day out. And from what I’ve picked up that’s more the issue. Manageable when you’re winning, harder when you’re not.

For all bielsa is an ultimate detail man, he isn’t an arm round the shoulder guy, and nor is he someone who’ll ease off on someone if they’re struggling. You all meet your targets, do your stuff or you don’t play.

I’m not saying that’s bad. I’m saying it might explain why sometimes the wheels fall off and sometimes they don’t.

    Interesting afternoon.

Coming back from South Lakes zoo driving northbound on the east Rd of Lake Windermere about two miles south of Bowness. A car, it seems, came round the corner travelling the opposite direction, his front left wheel hit the base of a tree and flipped his car on to its side coming to rest on the opposite side of the road in the wall.

A couple of cars in front of me have stopped. I stop, jog down the hill and a young lad is out of the car sat on a verge. A bit shaken up, seems fine but just a minor cut on his hand. Smoke coming out of his car. A couple of people asking him if he is OK. Emergency services called. A quick glance and it looks like he has caught a tree stump at the side of the road and flipped his car. Between us, we get him some plasters for his hand, a bottle of water and we start clearing the debris off the road a bit.

At that moment a "Karen" comes striding down the road demanding "I am a qualified first aider! I want to know who is responsible for taking this man out of his vehicle?" Starts talking down to those already helping telling them what they did wrong and why they shouldn't have done it and what she has been taught as a first aider.

I must be mellowing with age. I wished the young lad luck with the situation, walked back up the road to my car, and drove past on the road where I had cleared a path. Decided to let Karen sort it. The alternative was that Karen might have needed the services more than the lad.

I get the mental capacity and strain of having to play out of position constantly and not being as good as the player who normally plays in that position., but just feel Marsch made a statement and didnt answer the question he was asked. Almost like as soon as I get a chance Im chucking a bomb. Hes not stupid, he did it on purpose but as yet we dont know why

Sign of the times when a potentially life threatening incident for somebody turned in to a "look at me!" moment for her.

We also had a prick in a Land rover sat looking at the situation and just beeping his horn every 30 seconds instead of maybe jumping out and helping clear the road.

    Unbelievable
