It's the defence making Chesney look bad, for real proof, see his performances for poland, where he's been immense. When Arsena have a defence featuring Johann Djourou, it would make even someone like Shay Given look ****e.

Krul is already quality and has the potential to be even better. His reflexes are amazing and his catching has improved immensely this season. He does need to improve his distribution though, and he can be quite unsure of himself when rushing out of goal. IMO him and Chesney are on a par with Hart slightly behind.

he does rush out of his box all too readily though. needs to sort that out. its nearly cost you a couple of times already this season

I know, he is flawed, but put simply, who would you rather have? Szczesny/Krul, or De Gea? What were man u thinking....

De Gea is **** at the moment - but I think he'll come good. He is a brilliant shot stopper but he just can't handle high balls into the box. This can easily be trained into him, unlike the more natural things like reflexes.

At the moment though, Krul and Chesney are streets ahead. Also they don't steal doughnuts from supermarkets.

I'v said this ever since his debut in the Europa league against Palermo, Krul will become one of the best keepers in the world!!
I think he's better than Shechezny who seems error prone, although like Kyle? said, playing behind the defence he plays behind would make any decent keeper look bad

Rate your lad very highly but I would have to say that Krul is the best I've seen at his age. I have long said he will be one of the worlds best keepers in time, and we'd do well to hold on. I must admit I don't know enough about young keepers around the world to say whether they are two of the best. I assume they are but there's a lot of teams out there!!

I personally think De Gea's distribution is first class and i think he'll ultimately come good. look at the likes of Tim Howard at man utd. the microscope is just so intense at that place that it can knock the confidence of a keeper coming in with big gloves to fill. no one would dispute that howard is a quality PL keeper he just wasn't given the time at man utd.

Krul's superb..he could become the best keeper that we've possibly ever had, and that includes Shay Given in his prime, who wasn't so commanding, even though he would still only be commanding the likes of Boumsong, Bramble. On Chesney, possibly the best decision about goalkeepers Arsene Wenger did was to get rid of Almunia and whatsisotherguy and throw him into the fire.

the first time i seen krul, against palermo or someit like that you could see instantly he had ability, his shot stopping and reactions are very high calibre at times, with the handfuls of games he had to nibble on, he somehow has came out of it flourishing and at the moment he has alot of self belief, getting to play for holland and now first team at newcastle, i think this is when we're going to see how good krul really is.

Normally I'd laugh at a comment like this...but with us playing Man City in a couple of weeks I am ever so slightly scared that we couldn't be too far off that 15 mark...I know I should have more faith, but I am bricking it about that match.

Back on topic - Krul is tremendous :emoticon-0115-inlov
