Naughts had another great game and I thought Wolfe had one of his better games for us today, also Christie always made himself available on the right. Piroe's finishing was top drawer. I agree re Taff's comments re Fulton who had a good game today. So MoM is a difficult call between Naughts and Piroe.
Fulton's a very good player. His exclusion could be a personal thing, which may now have been resolved. We don't know what goes on behind closed doors.
Derby became only the second Football League side to lose 8 straight away games this season when they lost today
So will Rooney get a ban for slagging off the officials for not giving the last minute penalty? Didn’t he see his defenders outstretched arm early doors which was a penalty or the arm block on Patterson which even the commentators said was a sending off....still we won again onwards and upwards
Just watched the highlights. It was fascinating seeing Rooney's threatening behaviour towards the official. Lots of angry words, pointing of finger in face, etc. I wonder if he behaved in a similar fashion towards the 55 year old hookers he used to frequent, when it came to settling up. I never liked him as a player, and he hasn't improved down the years. Quite odious.
Did anyone see the unctuous Colin Murray's post match interview with Wayne Rooney on Quest ? I stopped watching the programme some time ago, as my stomach proved insufficient to handle Murray's verbosity. However, this morning I caught the repeat, purely by accident. I was mesmerised by Rooney's ugliness. Cripes, what a kisser. He must have been paying those granny's way over the odds. Anyway, the interview reminded me of the one where Mrs. Windsor's son was accused of having sex with one of her Corgi's, but, he intoned, it couldn't have been him, since he was having a cheese pasty at Gregg's in Inverness at the time. Back to Rooney, who HAS previously been known to have had sex with a cheese pasty, and has the scar to prove it, the pasty being fresh out of the oven. Now back to the interview. Rooney whinged about the officials and the fact no penalty was awarded to his battling heroes near the end of the game. It was a good shout by the Roon, and I would have had some sympathy had he acknowledged the injustices heaped on The Swans earlier in the game. He clearly didn't think they were important enough to mention. Nor did Murray, who was simply star struck, by pasty man. Appalling, grovelling interview technique, but that's why I gave up watching Quest.
