Think I've said on here before, that some of the football rivalary in the old Yugoslavia was getting quite nasty, I remember reading an article sometime on it, then before we knew it war breaks out for real. Football gives a good insight to social structures.
Think it's part of the "football started in 1992" bollocks. It's like all records, achievements etc pre the Premier league mean nothing...weird if you ask me
Here's exactly how much Jurgen Klopp has spent on transfers as Liverpool boss (msn.com) Everton: Fans fume as Toffees have third-highest net spend among Premier League clubs over last five seasons | The Transfer Tavern (footballtransfertavern.com) Hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!! Klopp's average net spend is £17m. ****wit.
Who is this net spend mess? when he has put a side together of bargain buys it’s easy to see why pep out performs him.
Net Spend always makes the players being bought suddenly play worse. Of course £70m on Allison makes him a worse buy when your net spend is lower? That must be it... right?
Defo an odd bunch. According to them Bruce is one of the worst managers around but he took that squad to midtable (twice) so hardly a huge achievement from Howe to do it after such a spend. They'll almost certainly be calling for his head by this time next year.
Hudds v Luton tonight for some quality EFL entertainment. Maybe some of you CL following plastics should try some real footy for a change
I don't think anyone has said that it is new.. and Jurgen has only won 2 domestic trophies in 9 seasons anyway, compared to Pep's 9 The more accurate comparison is the relentless accumulation of points. I think United's 98/9 side won the league with fewer than 80 points?
You have to take into account the strength of other teams throughout the league back then. 40 points was considered an absolute minimum to avoid relegation and often more were needed, just lately teams have escaped it with as few as 35 and i could be even fewer this season.
It's right though, why would you, people have lost their senses. So a pack of 4 bottled beers for £8 is what it amounts to, just for someone to pop the lid on it for you?
